We didn't know it when we booked our reservation at Taylor that it is a 55+ campground. And that turned out to be very good! It was quiet and since most of the sites were occupied by either full or long term RV-ers, there wasn't a lot of movement of campers in and out. The sites are comfortably spaced apart. The first 5 nights we were there, there wasn't another camper to the right or left of us so we had a lot of space on both sides! But even with the motorhome next to us the last 2 days... Read More

But even with the motorhome next to us the last 2 days of our stay, it wasn't close or crowded feeling. The park is on a small river and has a boat launch and small fishing pier. It was a pleasant area for an evening stroll. The staff was very friendly, professional, and so workable! Overall, this Zachary Taylor Resort is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in on our RV journeys!

The Restrooms are located right next to the trash dumpsters, and are overrun with insects. The staff is friendly and pleasant, however the residents who are mostly fulltime, are not friendly and in fact seem irritated that RVers pull in for short periods at all. Not a good experience.
