we stayed in the lake thunderbird state park little axe area. it is a nice and clean area, it is controlled access with camp host on site. they patrol and enforce the rules. the facilities are clean and well kept. the sites are a mixture of pull through and back in. there are many nice tent sites that are water front and a limited amount of rv sites that are waterfront or waterview. the camp area is on a point and provides a nice area to walk and watch the wildlife. there are many area to fish,... we stayed in the lake thunderbird state park little axe area. it is a nice and clean area, it is controlled access with camp host on site. they patrol and enforce the rules. the facilities are clean and well kept. the sites are a mixture of pull through and back in. there are many nice tent sites that are water front and a limited amount of rv sites that are waterfront or waterview. the camp area is on a point and provides a nice area to walk and watch the wildlife. there are many area to fish, swim and just relax. each site has a fire pit area and most have lantern holders. the handicap site is a very nice water front site with a large cement pad and elevated firepit. very nice campground to hang out with family and friends.
