I was plunked down in the Gold Beach area for work & had a long term stay at Honey Bear By the Sea RV Resort and I just hated to leave. I have been coming to the Gold Beach area on & off for years & had stayed there previously years ago....the setting was stunningly beautiful. The setting is still stunning, with an added bonus: a new owner has significantly upgraded the park & added many great amenities & his desire to please his guests is very apparent. The facilities were sparkling clean and there were so many conveniences: a well stocked store, an onsite restaurant & bar (Bear's Bar & Grill) with a fantastic menu & fun atmosphere. (EVERYTHING on the menu was delicious, but the ribs , hamburgers, and huge loaded Papa Bear Spud were all amazing) a huge free game room with big screen TV, pool table, foosball, darts, ping pong, board games/puzzles/toys & a lending library & horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, a great kid's play land, & nice laundry facility. The most exciting upgrade for me was the speedy WIFI.
The 50 acres has ponds, creeks, trails...and an easy path to the ocean that was less than 5 min walking to a spectacular beach. Elk & deer were peacefully grazing throughout the park most days I took walks. I also loved that I could ride my bike there easily.
I was thrilled that they are so pet friendly & do not charge extra for my furry family. The restaurant has a pet friendly patio w/bowls of water for pets. They were just finishing a huge dog park w/lovely large pond (it even had fire hydrants for the dogs, lol) and I will checking that out when I return.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights one being our anniversary. We enjoyed our self's very much. The food was good and the changes the new owners have made are a real plus. We still miss the quirky Germans but this was just as good maybe even better. We took advantage of the walking trails and the recreation room upstairs in the lodge. We are talking about making this a yearly come back. Thank you and keep up the great work to the friendly new owners.
We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights in a pull through site with an Ocean View (We could even hear the Ocean waves hitting the beach). Other sites offered tranquil park settings. The expansive grounds are very special with ponds, creek, walking pathways, & bird & wildlife observations all providing an opportunity to nurture your spirit and slow down life's hectic pace. We will certainly stay here again. New owner & staff were committed to making our stay enjoyable.
Very nice park especially the way it's nestled through the trees and flowers. Owners were very charming and helpful. this is the nicest park in the Gold Beach area and the beach was a two minute walk down a private path. Worth a visit. Went for the night and stayed for three.
We chose this park over other nicer parks in the area because they had what we thought was a German restaurant with "music and dancing". We arrived a little late at 7:00 pm (we got lost because the directions were so vague). On checking in were told by the rude older woman at the desk that dinner was at 6:00 and it was over. I said we weren't told that. Her reply was "People who come here know that" She offered no suggestions for where to eat and didn't even tell me that they had deli items we could... Read More

The site was below average and the water pressure was very low. We left immediately the next morning and will never go back. She was the rudest person I have ever med camping.
