My wife and I have been camping in our motorhome for 10 years. We have never had a bad experience with RV parks in the past. This is our first experience dealing with a park for an extended stay, and it was not pleasant. First off we were told we had a nice roomy spot when we booked in March. When we arrived we were told that the space we had been promised was not available. They instead stuck us in a spot that was way to small. This is our first experience dealing with a park for an extended stay, and it was not pleasant. First off we were told we had a nice roomy spot when we booked in March. When we arrived we were told that the space we had been promised was not available. They instead stuck us in a spot that was way to small. I said this would not work and they moved us to another space in the same area, still a very cramped space. Our first encounter with the maintenance staff upset them when we were leaving the park one day, someone had parked their truck blocking the road, I proceeded to drive around the truck and one of the staff people started yelling at me, telling me I should have gone another way, nothing about moving the truck. Next I was walking my dog, on a leash as required. All of a sudden two dogs came charging from a trailer and the large dog attacked my dog causing him to break away from me. My dog is a runner and I ended up chasing him all over the park and was fortunate to catch him. I mentioned this incident to a number of people in the park and they all mentioned the name of the person with the attack dog. Apparently the management does not think it is worth addressing. But another person was sent a letter accusing them of letting their dog poop on someone else's patio, which she said did not happen. Talked to others that are planning on leaving the park due to rules violations with no consequences, and letting certain people pretty much do what they want.
Also my wife was accosted by the self appointed poop policeman, as soon as my dog relieved himself, he started yelling at her about cleaning it up, which is what she intended too do if she had just given her a chance. This guy goes off on my wife while others can pile up trash in front of their units, leave it there for a week or more, and nothing is said, of course these are the chosen, the permanents. One person told me that the park was originally for 55 and older, but now has become a place for people of low income, I would describe it as "a low income project on wheels".
