Really rundown. Lots of dogs (which we love) but lots of dog poop not cleaned up. There was even a large stray dog wandering around. Bathrooms weren’t terribly clean either. On the positive side, the staff was really friendly and helpful - Mark filled our propane tank for free!! And there’s a great paved hiking/biking trail right next to it. But I think next time we’ll try a different place.
Nice place to stay. Only stayed one night but very friendly and quiet campground. Great location.
We(my dad n I) checked in on 3/27/19/(wed) planned on staying 1 nite just to rest up n relax. We stayed 2 nites becuz 1 nite was not enough, wanted to stay another, they monuvoured things so that we could, without having to move to another site. On Sunday(4 nites later) after putting dolly on RV n car on dolly, I locked my car keys in the car. "Oh well at least it's loaded". We were ready to leave but steps would not retract even with RV running. Owner came by n saw we were still there, he stopped,... Read More

Owner came by n saw we were still there, he stopped, asked what was up, n jokingly said "if you're are still here tomorrow I'm going to put you to work". I explained our situation, he said he would make some calls. In a couple of hours a locksmith was there n shorly after that an RV repair was there. I had the keys to my car, n the steps to RV retracted. The magnet had broke off, they found the piece under the step, taped it back on becuz he didn't have a replacement. He told me he could order me one, but I could order it myself, saving myself money because he is the middle man. He didn't charge me, he said he doesn't charge unless he fixed the problem, n wouldn't take a tip, n gave me a strip of tape(special) to take with us. After such a stressful day, things were easily fixed, n didn't cost us an arm n a leg. I didn't have to look up businesses, phone numbers, make phone calls, it was the help of the staff that made things less stressful. After 4 nites I went to office to tell them we were finally ready to leave n asked if we owed anything because it was after checkout. She told me no, I thanked them for everything, n I got teary eyed. Not often do you have someone help you out so much. I almost forgot, when we first checked in an employee took us to our site and asked if we needed any help setting up. Remember I said it was my dad(90 yrs old) n I, I didn't need the help, but sure was nice for the offer. My dad n I are from upstate NY, this is our 2nd yr spending our winter in Wellton Az. Council Road RV park has been added to our places to stop at again. The park is clean, quiet, pet friendly(2 dogs-1xtra lg-1lg) comfortable and ready to help. The girls in the office we're costumer friendly, and helpful also. A BIG thank you to all of you. Maybe we'll see you again in the fall?

We found the camping staff to be friendly and very courteous. We were escorted to our site and the grounds keeper asked if we would need any help setting up. He also told us about a bicycle trail that ran along the campground. Our site was clean, restrooms were clean, showers nice. This park is near the interstate 40, just outside of Oklahoma City. We will stay here again.
