Beautiful lawns and big old trees. Spaces are narrow. Pedestals in some sites are in the middle of the space rather than the back, so a 25-foot cable or hose might be long enough, or not. Men's restroom has water leaking from the ceiling after rain, and from the rust I think this is not a new problem. The restroom design is barely usable I think it was the architect's first job. You'll see. You can see I-70 but you can't hear it. Certainly not over the frequent trains. This noise will bother you... Read More

Odd: only one dumpster, right next to the exit gate. No poo-bag disposal stations. Odd for a KOA, I think.
Wifi is meh, and like a lot of campgrounds they defend this and say, basically, don't use it. This is 2022, and you could solve this problem for an additional $100 per month, and perhaps a little investment in infrastructure. Cell service (T-mobile) OK. OTA TV a little too far from KC for good reception.
Entirely adequate for an overnight stay.

Trains! All night! Freeway rigbt there as well. Bring the ear plugs! Great for kids and dogs, hence 3 stats. Lots of room for them. Very little for us. :(
Campground had no grass at the sites, weeds that needed at least cut. Deep ruts from recent rain and mud. Very tight for our 40ft motorcoach, we were parked right on top of our neighbors. Another concern was one of the neghbors had a gun strapped to his waist, maybe i should have voiced those concerns to the management but I did not though i wanted to the next morning when their dog charged me and my 13 week old puppy. There were trains as other people mentioned but as we are retired railroaders... Read More

Gravel, sloping campground, highway noise and train noise. Nice camp store. Okay for just a one night stay.
Staff was friendly, however sites are close together, wifi was virtually unusable. Do not feel high ratings are justified, and rates are above average for the area.
The placement of trailers (facing north) with trees on the south side provides shading. Dog walk area large enough and shady! Had a rabbit inside, which my terrier enjoyed chasing (rabbit escaped). Laundry was clean and well priced. Showers very clean. Ice available for purchase. Nice park, although noisy (close to city and freeway).
Not a great place to stay if you don't have children. This is a Jellystone Park and is geared to families with children. Wifi was terrible - absolutely no connectivity after 3 in the afternoon. Restrooms were average at best, certainly not a 10 as currently rated - shower drains full of hair and debris and trash cans overflowing. Very expensive for extras such as cable and/or full hookups. Only an average stay at best.
