RUDE & DIS_RESPECTABLE STAFF We went camping here Feb. 9th to the 13th with a group of friends. All together we had 8 campers going out there. when we booked we booked to stay from Friday to Monday. When we got to the facility to check in we did as we always did check in and went to our site to set up. When I looked at our paper work it had us leaving the Sunday, so we called the front desk to let them know we were here till the Monday. We were told they only had us staying till Sunday. I told... When I looked at our paper work it had us leaving the Sunday, so we called the front desk to let them know we were here till the Monday. We were told they only had us staying till Sunday. I told them that I could show them the email which stated we were booked till Monday, but was told they couldn't do anything about it and that we would have to leave the Sunday because they had someone checking into our spot Sunday. So I told my husband and friends what was said and he ask that I call again and speak with the manager showing we had an email stating we would be here till Monday. Well the girl in the office said in a rude way there was nothing she could do and we would have to leave and hung up on me. Well now I'm getting upset and called back and asked to speak to the manager and was told well the manager is the Mayor so call him and she hung up on me again. So not to get in trouble I said the heck with it and was going to leave but friends asked me to say since we were all there. So we left the Sunday as forced to and to top it off our friends next to us said after we left no one ever came in our spot Sunday or Monday? Well that is the last time our group will ever go out there again. It's sad that people are so rude & dis-respectable to customers. We have been here before and always had a great, we always come in groups of 5 to 20 campers. But from talking with others in the group, I think we'll find other places to go!

We travel full time with our 3 & 5 year olds. We absolutely loved our stay at Lake End. CONS: The only con directly related to the campground was no laundry facility. There is a nice place called Wash World a few miles down the road. Also Morgan City isn't super close to a big city so you have your basic grocery store and walmart. Target, mall, nice restaurants ect is 30 miles away in Houma. Pros: Sites right on the lake, lower weekly rates when off season than anywhere around, swim beach (although... Read More

We travel full time given our pipeline job but our home office is close. We are happy to have this as our "home base" campground.

Clean and scenic campground. City owned and run with helpful and courteous staff. Nice waking path and enough roadways for bicycle riding. Have stayed there four times with and without grandkids. Kids can fish from the bank, swim at the beach and plenty of room to run and play. Great fishing and sightseeing both outside of and inside of Atchafayla Basin, not to mention the Cajun restaurants nearby.
