It was a lovely campground. We stayed there for 3 nights last week. We booked a full hook-up campsite with 50 amp service and was very happy with the space between the sites and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It is a campground and not a high end resort. We had friends with us and were able to visit Point Reyes National Seashore and Muir Woods Natl Park (don't forget to get a parking Pass for Muir Woods!!) We will definitely stay there again if in the area. The price was reasonable being in... Read More

This campground is very close to Point Reyes National Park which makes it a nice place to stay if you are visiting the area or on a vacation. Point Reyes (the town) is cute and expensive. I enjoyed shopping at Palace Market -- great cheese selection. We are full-timers who work, and wifi is necessary. It didn't work well at this spot. In fact, depending on which site we were in (we had to move a few times due to change in reservation), our ATT service for a hot spot wasn't good, either. The campground... Read More

The campground is a big hit with the Airstream crowd. Bottom line: Good for a vacation not so much for full-timers.

The campground was crowded but neat and well maintained. The staff I checked in with was friendly. There were two large fields filled with tents. The RVs were packed like in a parking lot. My spot was a pull in site facing the bathrooms. It was a very short site, lucky my RV was short. The site next to me was a back in site and the two sites shared a pedestal for power and the sewer area (with two openings but next to each other). The guy next to me was very nice. As soon as he spotted me standing... Read More

As soon as he spotted me standing next to the pedestal with my power cord, he rushed out to offer his assistance to make sure my power was connected. I am sure he was worried about his power as well. I was unable to connect my dump hose because it was too far away. It was next to my driver door. Luckily I did not need it since I was only staying one night. I just dumped my tank on my way out with their nice dump station. The view from my RV was people brushing their teeth and the RVs are so close I can hear their water running. However the views and separation are not the reasons I chose this campground. The campground is very close to Point Reyes National Seashore. Had a very nice weekend visiting at the Seashore and the near by town. I would stay here again if visiting Point Reyes. Just need to know what you are expecting when staying here.

This was a lovely campground! The trees and grounds were luscious with spring finally popping - and lots of grass cutting! The sites were well spaced with lots and lots of grass allowing for very pleasant walks around the campground, especially for our fur babies! Excellent central location to visit SanFran, Marin County, Petaluma and Point Reyes coastline, with gorgeous scenic drives. We understand that a lot of repair and maintenance work has been done in the past 12 months, including electrical,... Read More

We understand that a lot of repair and maintenance work has been done in the past 12 months, including electrical, and which continues. As usual, we did not use the facilities, so unable to comment in that regard. The staff/personnel were great to chat with and very helpful in regard to the surrounding area. Highly recommend this campground!

Stayed for 3 nights in full hookup site. Big issue with sewage. All toilets were closed in restrooms due to "full tanks". Porta-potties everywhere. Not what one expects for the price. No discount for lack of facilities. Otherwise a good spot with great location near Point Reyes. Need to fix something soon.

Olema Campground is perfectly located to explore Point Reyes National Seashore and West Marin County. The campground's setting is lovely, set alongside Olema Creek with lots of trees and grassy lawns. But the facilities are past their prime. The restrooms are old, but very clean. The roads are down to dirt and rutted. It was obvious that the campground is being maintained, but also that they have a big flooding problem and aren't spending money on infrastructure. The electric+water spaces are nicely... Read More

The electric+water spaces are nicely spaced in rings. The full-hookup spaces did not look desirable, especially the ones in the very front of the campground. We would stay here again, but only in the e+w spaces and only in dry times.

I just spent 2 weeks here and liked the facility. The office is very friendly, the sites are gravel, dirt and fairly level. My site wasn't particularly spacious and it was a nasty back-in. But I did have assistance in accomplishing it. There is a lot to see and do here. My major gripes would be the expensive grocery stores (expect a lack of selection and prices doubled for basic provisions.) & very expensive gas (there is one gas station in Point Reyes). Real grocery stores are a drive, some 12-20... Read More

Real grocery stores are a drive, some 12-20 miles away, which sounds fine until you realize that the roads are so narrow and twisty that it will take an hour to get to any of them. The restaurants I visited were good, but expensive. Wifi worked well enough for my Roku. There were no other choices.

Nice setting but limited full hook ups. Only 4 spots off of the main circle. The main circle has a number of full or long timers. Pretty clean, muddy after rains. OK stay, good service, ok restrooms/showers, wifi is VERY sketchy, had to use iphone hot spot. Lots of places to see within an hour or so.

We checked in late with a caravan of 4 but they were completely ready for us. Make sure that you do not arrive via Highway 1. The park was spread out with plenty of room between you and your neighbors. So much to see and do here that we needed more time. It was easy for us to run back in to catch a ferry and spend the day in San Francisco.

This is what I would call a 'rustic' RV park. Meaning it has gravel and dirt roads/pads, firerings, trees and a general campground feel, not a concrete paved RV park. We really enjoyed our stay and the campground, sites are mostly good sized and pretty easy to manuver for larger rigs. Some of the drive in sites could be a challenge for hooking up but since those are water and electic only probably not a big deal but be aware if you have a short water or electic cord.. Walking distance to good food... Read More
