The campground was nice and exceptionally clean. The space itself was adequate in size. I felt it was terribly overpriced as the last Casino/RV park we stayed at in Carson City was $30 cheaper. The bathrooms were very clean but the curtains in the shower stall were not wide enough and they were too short so the shower spray went into the dressing area. There was only 1 hook to put your towel and clean clothes. I would not stay there again.

Pros: Overall Quiet and clean, and our experience with staff was very good. 50A worked great, as did water, wifi, and cable. Cons: Very narrow spaces. We have a 41ft 5'er with slides on both sides, and our slides were clearly in the neighbors space. This park was made for RVs of the 60s and 70s. We had no space for our truck and had to park it in an adjacent lot. There was not enough room to maneuver our rig to exit per the campground pathway because some of the more permanent sites had vehicles... Read More

Summary: If you just need a place to sleep and can handle inside living, this place is OK. If you intend to relax outside some of the time, this might not be the best option if you have a larger rig.

Not sure what the others are seeing in the place - it looks like a pretty run-down place, we had a pull-through site, #35 - the 'residents' that look like they had been here for a while were parked in the space blocking most of the access road into the space. Site was very uneven for a pull through, I had the front hitch electric jack fully extended and couldn't quite level - still pitched a little to the front, stairway was touching the pavement. Oh well, only for an overnight. Mix of nice... Read More

I wouldn't recommend it, find somewhere else- this doesn't look anything close to an 8 or 9 "appeal" rating at other Good Sams we have stayed at. Kind of reminds me of the run-down look of the strip in Reno - we normally go for a walk in the evening - definitely won't be doing that here.

This is quite a nice RV park in a good location to visit the Lake Tahoe and Reno/Sparks areas. Although the park is on a major road, it is set back far enough to be quiet (particularly at night). Sites are paved but fairly small and crumbling in places, and most have some grass. Bathrooms are acceptably clean with some niggles like a missing soapdash in men's shower, pressure-sensitive sink faucets with needle spray that result in quite a lot of messy overspray on countertops. Sprinklers were... Read More

Sprinklers were run every night we were there which resulted in dirty splash on our trailer and equipment as well as more mosquitos than one would expect in this area. Access to the South Lake Tahoe area is good, albeit the fastest way is over the steep, twisting Kingsbury Grade that won't be a favorite for some.

Small and tight RV park right next to the casino. They offer an OK shower and bathroom, decent wifi and access to the workout room in the casino. The location in Minden is great for access to everything in Minden with Lake Tahoe just a scenic 30 minutes away. See our full review at www.thegilliamsisland.com

We stayed at Carson Valley RV Resort & Casino in our 40' motorhome. The roads are paved and the sites are on the smaller side, but easy to get into and clearly marked. The CV steakhouse is a must for dinner during your stay. Also, this is a great spot to explore lake tahoe from. It's only about a 20 minute drive up the hill and you are in the heart of lake tahoe.

Nice facility if you are traveling through 395. Park is well maintained but sites are small. Adjacent to Casino which you are allowed to use pool, etc. The casino will shuttle you back and forth if you need a ride. Small convenience store and service station in front of the park, plus located in the town of Minden. Restrooms are very clean! Highly recommend on your travels.
