My husband is a traveling nurse and we had the pleasure of staying at Harbor Lakes RV Resort for 6 months. The people here are extremly friendly! The site was HUGE! We are looking forward to returning next year for another 6 months. Be sure you find the walking path that's kind of behind the campgground. You will walk by a canal and pond/lake and see all kinds of wildlife. Great place!!
Reserved "Premium" site (website does not detail what constitutes a Premium site). Was put in a dirt/sand back in site with no grass and numerous ruts from prior renters. I would hate to think what a muddy mess had it rained! There is no Wifi for guests unless you want to subscribe to Wifi and pay $5.95 per day! Lots of nice fulltime sites and park models there, but would not reccomend to anyone for short term stay!! Avoid if at all possible!
The takeaway: a layover spot and a convenient place to stay while exploring Myakka River State Park (38 miles away). An older park dominated by park models, not a resort in the true sense nevertheless offering updated shower and restrooms and a sparkling pool with easy access to/from I75. The extra wide streets are a welcome benefit as are the level concrete pads in the `elite' category. WiFi cost is reasonable and over-the-air tv accesses numerous local channels in HD. Visited April 2019. For a... Read More

Our stay was great. Great site for our RV. Friendly people. Very clean park. Close to shopping, gas and food. I would stay there again. I loved the wide streets. I was able to make a U-turn with my toad in tow on the wide streets.
We enjoyed the site overlooking a pond as many of the sites overlook water. The pond was teaming with wildlife including alligators, large turtles, many birds, and rabbits. This provided great afternoon/evening entertainment. While people were friendly, the activities were not as inclusive as we would look for. The park is an attractive property, well tuned for seasonal residents.
Snowbird haven with many park models but also many RV sites. Widest streets we've ever seen in an RV park...spacious feel. Facilities about average for this type of park.
