Great experience. This Rv park is a great base for exploring Carters of the Moon and the Malay Historic Mining Hill. What really makes this a 5 star park are the owners’ hospitality, delicious food at their restaurant, level site and immaculate laundry facility.
What a great little RV park! The owners are doing awesome and not only are they running the park they are also running a little restaurant and cooking the best Carolina style BBQ I've ever had! We were passing through on our way out west and needed to stop somewhere near the Craters of the Moon. We got checked in and they gave us great instructions and tips for visiting the park and seeing a hard to find hot springs. After a long, hot day of travelling and hiking and sight seeing, their home... Read More

The new owners are great hosts and the on site restaurant is phenomenal. Great location near Craters of the Moon. It is just a great relaxing RV park and a down home comfort combined with a wonderful restaurant that has some of the best smoked ribs ever. One of our favorite RV stops ever.
We recently stayed at this rv park. We chose this location based on the stated amenities and reviews. We were told the "cafe" wasn't operating because the owner only cooks when he wants to. We could not use the restrooms because we had toilets in our rv. We couldn't use the water at night because he didn't want pipes to break but would turn water on in the morning at nine. We were told that we could fill our water tank but must disconnect before nightfall and that he would be by to ensure we... Read More

He did not turn the water back on until after 10:30 the next morning. On the positive side, we did have electricity and WiFi. All in all this rv park is well past its prime and did not live up to its reviews.

Exceptional RV Park. Very groomed & very clean. Convenient restaurant & bar on site. Owners were very nice. You can tell they work hard to make this RV Park nice for everyone!!
I would have given this campground a 5 start rating until an incident with the manager during check out. I had been told by my husband that the trash was located behind the red fence and that it was a "secret" location. Assuming it was "secret" because non customers come by to dump trash, I found an enclosed red fenced area next to the main building and started to open the gate. The manager was standing next to the fence on the phone and interrupted his call to say, "Hey what are you doing?" I said,... Read More

The manager was standing next to the fence on the phone and interrupted his call to say, "Hey what are you doing?" I said, "disposing the trash". He pointed at the `No Trespassing' sign and said "What does that say?!". I read it aloud and it got worse from there with him yelling so loudly another visitor came out and stated he too had been treated poorly for asking about the internet the previous night. My husband intervened calmly explaining the situation and was loudly told to "grow up" and told to leave the property. Yikes!!! We are retired folks, myself a pediatric nurse and my husband a Vietnam vet. No one should be treated with that much disrespect.

If you are ever within 200-300 miles of Arco, Idaho and looking for an RV camping space, make the drive to Mountain View RV Park. If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with this park, then you should just stay home. We have been on the road 30 years and this is not our first rodeo and we are going back to Mountain View RV Park as soon as the opportunity arises.
Our destination was Craters of the Moon. I wish we'd driven the extra 18 miles and stayed in the National Park. I chose this park because we needed a power top up and I needed to access internet. The power at our site did not work, and it was after hours when we found out, so we didn't make comment. The internet is an additional $5 charge for wi-fi (which is NOT listed in the info for this park). Arco is not an exciting town, however the RV Park itself was pretty and quiet.
We stayed one night...the camping spot was okay. However, the restrooms/showers were closed and there was no wifi. They advertised propane, but the tank was empty when we arrived and then they could not get down to the office to fill our tank the next morning. The checkout time was 10am, and they could not help us at 9am. We don't feel like we got our 40.00 dollars worth! Worst Good Sam Club experience so far.
Under usual circumstances this might be a nice park. We made the mistake of visiting during the eclipse when prices were DRASTICALLY INFLATED and we were relegated to an extremely hot and dusty overflow lot with no hookups, at a $100/night rate and a three night minimum. The owner was obviously under stress and seemed hostile, scolding us although we had already accepted his terms and had prepaid without complaint. Bathrooms were clean, regular sites nice and shaded. We stayed only two of the three nights and were happy to leave! We spent the next evening cleaning dust out of our unit! PRICE GOUGING! We would have been better off sleeping along the side of the road and would never visit this town or park again!

We chose this park because of other reviews. The ribs were highly recommended. The owner told us the restaurant was closed and he only does ribs for groups upon request so we were disappointed. Strike one. We asked him to recommend a good restaurant and he told us about a place seven miles north. We drove there but it was closed on Tuesdays. We were there on Tuesday. Strike two. The following evening (when we were 300 miles away) I was reviewing my receipt and noticed he didn't give us the... Read More

Great little RV park for a visit to nearby Craters of the Moon. Well maintained and the staff / owners let us run our Aussies in a fenced horse pasture (I guess that's what it was). The park is owner-operated and has an amazing restaurant with about 10 tables. Food is excellent, folks are friendly and the margaritas are out of this world! We definitely recommend a visit here and Craters of the Moon National Monument is well worth the trip.
Great Little RV Park Great Restaurant!! Owners Went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. Ribs and Shrimp are fantastic as are the LARGE Smoked Baked Potato Be sure to try the Rib Chili and the good selection of Wines and locally brewed beers. Owners are improving the park - lots of improvements planned.- some in progress WIFI was one of the best of any park I've been at. We stayed 4 days - Just before Memorial day. 36' Class A with towed car
Nice place to stay with shaded sites. Sites are somewhat on the small side but doable. The space between sites is adequate and bathrooms very nice. They are also serve some of the best ribs I've eaten. While we were there they also had a quest speaker come in and talk about the craters of the moon stones/rocks in the area. This was open to all campers. We stayed in a 5th wheel and I'd stay again.
This was a very nice rv park for a one night stay while traveling. Small but nice sites with shade. Bathrooms where very nice and clean.
