Meteor Crater RV Park was the 95th stop for us and we stayed for 4 nights to see the crater and Winslow. Two months earlier, received a call about their work on the septic system so there would be no full hook ups – offer to cancel with no penalty or reschedule – well done! The dump station is conveniently located. Easy to get to off I-40 (and yes, you will have some highway noise for this convenience) and the guy doing check in, running the convenience store and gas station was very good. The park... Read More

For the bathrooms, one of the buildings was under renovation but for the open one, each room had a sink, toilet, shower and bench and was clean. The laundry room is small but clean with 1 of 3 washers and driers out of order. The only downside is the plethora of goat heads which can go through tennis shoes or hurt the dogs pads – check shoes every time you go into your rig and have a scraper handy. Would stay here again if in the area. In terms of connectivity (late morning): WiFi 17.1 down/1.51 up T-Mobile 37.4 down/18.8 up Verizon 173.0 down/24.0 up.

We did not really have any problems here. Our site was easy to get in and out of. There was a playground, dog park, and very big store at the gas station. The lounge was also nice with couches, tv, and coffee. We chose this place just as a quick stop along the way, but I'm glad we did because going to the actual meteor crater was very awesome! (and close)
Easy check-in at the Mobil gas station and the staff was wonderful. Campground is isolated and there isn't much going on in the local area, except for Meteor Crater park of course. We stayed in pull-through full hookup site #11. Our gravel site was level and comfortable. We were there for 1 week but most folks just stay overnight and then hit the road early the next day. Electrical box had 30 & 50 amp connections but the 110 volt outlets were dead as a doornail. Free wifi worked at the site... Read More

My AT&T phone had 3 bars and my wife's Verizon phone had 4 bars. We were able to program all of the major networks as over the air TV channels. Above average private bathrooms & showers. Laundry is available in the main building until 7:00pm. It is also available at one of the restroom locations 24 hours a day. Loud trains run in the late evenings/early mornings so make sure to wear your earplugs.

We stopped at this campground during our trip from Michigan to Arizona. The plan was to stay for a few days and do the tourist thing around the area before going back to Buckeye, AZ. The sites are all spacious gravel pull-throughs which are quite level (Important because the leveling system on the coach was not working). There are trees but they did not interfere with my portable TV satellite. The park is clean and well maintained and the office has a very nice store. Unfortunately, while there... Read More

i'm writing from the campground now. the highway is close, but i can't hear a thing. it is very quiet here. peaceful. the people who run the place are very nice. the spaces are wide and we don't feel cramped at all. we visited the crater today and it was fun but i think i'd come here just for the campground. there are grown trees all around and it feels cozy. like an oasis. it is out in the middle of nowhere but we're camping in a camper! we will go to Winslow tomorrow. the phone... This little gem is the perfect place to stop along the 40. It's actually behind a gas station, which is super handy! The park is gated, the sites are all pull-thru and most have some trees for shade in the summer. The fellow who did our check-in (Paul, I think) was very nice and welcomming. It is all gravel though, and out in the plains-type area of Arizona, so if it rains you're in the mud and it's always windy! The wifi is spotty so don't plan on much connection, and definetely no streaming.... Read More

Be mindful of hookup types. Our site did not have sewer, but there is an easy-to-use dump station on site.

Good gravel spaces. The hookups was a little weird the electric and sewer at back of the spot and the water toward the front. Had to pull forward for the water hookup but not to far from the electric to hook up and couldn't hook the sewer up while we're there.
Excellent RV park! Everything other reviews have said still holds true. Park is easy to get to as well as in and out of. Staff is friendly, checkin was a breeze. Sites are large and roomy, and the large trees offer some welcome shade. Yes, there's a little bit of road noise from the highway, but not all that much, and at night we just turned our fan on. We would definitely stay here again!
Easy to find and very close to I-40 (so, once again, the highway noise is constant). Welcoming staff were terrific. (They were discussing dinner plans that made my mouth water when checking in!) We stayed here several nights while visiting the Grand Canyon and family in Flagstaff and were pleasantly surprised. Husband raved about the shower and restroom facilities, and we found doing laundry quite convenient. Pull through site was large enough for our 60' (+/- MH + car trailer). Winds were ferocious... Winds were ferocious (so much so that one day all large vehicles were parked on the side or pull-offs from I-40, and I was so glad we stayed put), and the dust was everywhere. But that had nothing to do with the park. This is a gated park and we felt quite secure.

We have stayed in 7 different RV parks along I-40, Oklahoma to California. Meteor Crater is hands down the BEST, easy access on/off the interstate and access to Meteor Crater with discount tickets, a nice little gas station, the sites are shaded and spacious, the grounds are clean and well maintained, spotless bathrooms and laundry room, a great store and hostess. And that is why we keep coming back.
This was such a great experience! Very nice park, clean and friendly. They have had station, groceries everything right there. We will stay again next spring and are looking forward. AAA park
The campground was easy to find, easy to register with. It was clean and well maintained and the staff were very helpful. We also liked that there was a gas station right at the campground that was easily accessible for big rigs. We would highly recommend this campground.
We stayed here 3 nights in March 2019. The sites are all pull through and very wide. They are gravel and level. There are 2 laundry rooms and one is in the main building with a lounge and large tv to watch while doing laundry. The price for the machines is $1.75. Very reasonable. The staff is friendly. This is an outstanding facility and is the first one I've rated with 5 stars across the board. The location is far enough off I-40 that traffic noise is nearly non-existant (although at night the trains another half mile away can be heard). The park itself is clean, neat and well organized. Surprisingly, there are shade trees next to many of the spaces. We were given a near-perfectly level pull-thru space for our travel trailer. The facility has a nice day-room with big-screen TV where you can rest while your laundry is washing in the adjacent room. The restrooms/showers are modern, clean and spacious. The only negative I can think of would be the location at nearly 20 miles west of the town of Winslow, but then again, that may be intentional on their part. In my view, this is about as good as an RV park can get and at a reasonable price to boot. Kudos to all in this organization!

Very easy location off I-40. This rv park is exceptionally well maintained. Staff was excellent. Very clean. We had a reservation - check in was fast. Spot was long & wide (44ft MH + tow) - did not have to unhook. Individual spots well marked. Large staging area to park while checking in. Only down side was gravel. Site says it's 20 miles east of Winslow - it's 20 miles west of Winslow! We will definitely stay here when in the area & have already recommended it to other travelers.
This is a very nice campground. All the positive reviews are accurate. However it is not set up to handle 45' Motorhome/towing a car. I was instructed to get to site 42 to drive thru the site behind it because we would not make the corner. Ok, now I am on site 42, my nose is sticking out, and my car's back end is out in the road behind me. Had to pull all electric cord out, box is at the back of the lot, septic is on the back corner, used all 20' of hose to hook up. Stayed two nights, so next... Read More

Had to pull all electric cord out, box is at the back of the lot, septic is on the back corner, used all 20' of hose to hook up. Stayed two nights, so next morning I unhooked car off the dolly and brought it in front of Motorhome perpendicular to my site. I had to go out a few minutes later to move it because my neighbor on my right was pulling out with his fifth wheel. We pulled into the parking area for tenters. 1/2 hour later, we left for the Crater in the car and returned and parked perpendicular to my site, in fact we went back out twice more and parked perpendicular to my site and stayed there overnight. In the morning my neighbor on my right in a Motorhome who was towing a full size Jeep was going to pull out. As a courtesy to protect my car and his equipment, I pulled the car into the tent site parking area again. I continued to get my Motorhome ready to leave and an older park employee came over to me and said I can't park my car there. I replied I was aware of the situation and that I was going to put it on the dolly now. He replied that it was the tenter's parking area and that I had parked in there yesterday also. I explained nicely the reason why I had moved it there yesterday and today. I explained to him the root problem is the site is too short for big rigs. He replied that I should have come to him and he would have shown me where to park. I walked away, this was going no where and figured out he was a checkbox personality. By the way there were no tenters in these sites for the two days we stayed there. I did make a reservation, you were aware of my size, you assigned me an undersized lot. You took my money. So I think I don't need to be read the riot act by your staff...

Very nice, clean and friendly managed RV park. We only stayed there 2 nights. They have a clean off-leash area for dogs. The sites were clean and spaced well in-between rigs. It's great for an over-night stay. I didn't go in the restrooms because we're self contained.
Great RV Park. There is an actual dog run, with two sections. The showers/restrooms are combined, super clean. Wonderful day room and laundry room. Super clean and well taken care of RV Park. Security is present. Coded gate
One of the nicest RV Parks I've been to. Well maintained and clean.
Staff was awesome. Very convenient to sightseeing.
Nice park, gravel but level. Well maintained, grounds and facalities. Extremely clean all around, staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay here again..
Park is well maintained. Restrooms are clean and kept up.
Nice shaded sites. Very dusty but the management tried to keep dust down by spraying water on roads. Very close to Meteor Crater and easy drive to stand on the corner in Winslow, AZ. Would stay here again.
We really enjoyed this campground. While the office/convenience store are well-worn, once you go through he gates to the actual campground it's a lovely place. Sites are good sized with everything working. The staff is wonderful and it's worth noting how helpful they were in giving information about the area and accessibility. This is a VERY nice place to stay. We were headed west & it was time to stop for the night. Restrooms were clean the sites didn't have you crammed together. Would definitely recommend if you need a place to stay. I loved looking at the stars.
This is a well-run, attractive park. Bathrooms are extremely clean and nice! My problem is that they say that the majority of their sites are full hook-ups, when the reality is they have 16 full hook-ups and the rest are electric & water only. They have two laundry sites, only one of which has working washers. The dryers cost $1.75 for a 40 minute cycle, that didn't manage to dry a half-full load. we liked it here, nice people, well kept, everything we need.
This is like a little Oasis in the desert ?? we stayed the 1st week and loved the quietness and cleanliness of the park It is also close to a lot of adventuress travels around. We chose to come back and stay for 2 more weeks before traveling on to NewMexico. They have the cleanest facility and the most friendly help. We will definitely go back soon.
Great park! The staff is helpful and courteous. The grounds have security gates. They have level pads with a picnic table and a tree on every site. Restrooms with private mini rooms include toilet, sink, and shower. The location is good to travel to nearby attractions: Winslow, Arizona, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, and Meteor Crater.
Awesome friendly people! We were arriving close to their closing time, and they patiently waited on us. Sites were gravel, but were very level - had LOTS of trees and a beautiful morning sunrise view! They offered coupons for gas at their store and for the meteor crater. I HIGHLY recommend this place!
Overnight stay for me. Park is clean, spacious, convenient to freeway. Only complaint is that it's 20 miles from Winslow, which considering Winslow is probably not that much of a complaint. I would stay here again.
Just stayed one night. Price was right. Bathrooms/showers were immaculate. Really impressed us. We liked the way the staff assigned sites with unoccupied sites in between campers. Yes you can hear the I-40 traffic but it was expected. Highly recommend this RV site. On a clear night, you have a beautiful star filled view of the sky.
An excellent location. Probably most beneficial for those traveling along I40 but it does lead to Meteor Crater only 6 miles down the road. We arrived just before 7pm and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We called ahead of time concerned we may arrive after they closed at 7pm. We were told not to worry that if we arrived late they'd make arrangements for us. Pad was mostly level, a bit high on the west side, nothing to lose sleep over. Easy access from freeway with gas and convenient store right there. We stayed one night and felt very secure. Gated entry into park, with after hour access, quiet and great view of sunset. Bathrooms were clean and private. I would definitely stay again.
Great level and spacious gravel lots. Bathrooms/showers were in great shape. Very easy to get to from the interstate as well as easy to navigate once you arrive. Staff was extremely friendly. The gentleman who was closing the facility the night we arrived stayed a bit later than he was supposed to in order to get us checked in when rain slowed us down at Petrified Forest NP. Excellent stay and if we find ourselves in AZ again we'll most likely stay here again.
Nice park for overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff with a convenient gas station next door. Also, it is easy access on/off the freeway.
Level gravel sites with trees. Well maintained park with friendly staff. Nice bathrooms with private showers. Good park security. Get discount to visit meteor crater (or visit Meteor Crater first and get discount to campground).
I recommend this campground to anybody facilities are great and the help are great
