A convenient location on the island, with free city bus service at the main gate. It is basic KOA, with all facilities in good order. Efficient and helpful staff. grounds were well kept and also offered propane fills. If you wish to stay and visit the island for a day or weeks, this is pleasant.
Very nice! Views of the water from most sites. Very clean park, great dog area and nice grassy areas to walk them as well. Spaces are close together, we were about 2ft from our neighbors slide out. There are small palm trees and oleander bushes dotting the entire property that offer a bit of privacy, but no large trees for shade (it is the coast after all). We came here in October in the middle of the week, so naturally there were very few folks and we didn't have the crowds. Would NOT suggest South Padre during summer/spring break. It is crowded & loud!
The patio sites are perfect for sunrise or sunset relaxing. All spots seem to be North/South oriented so depending on which way your front faces, you will have either full blazing morning sun or afternoon sun on your patio, so be sure to figure out which one you like before you get a spot. Overall, great park and walking distance to a few good restaurants and Pier.

very nice place but if your middle aged or older i would not stay here during spring break...that is if you like to sleep...it is 2:01 am right now and there is fire works going off and the music is so freaking loud ...the sad part is it's not music all you hear is a base going bong, bong, bong...so sad to see such a nice park ..have to cater to such a mess...i just wish they would of said something before we made the reservation...we just came here at the wrong time of the season... poor management...
