This is a beautiful park. Gated. Palm trees. Within walking distance of some amazing shopping & dining. You can almost see the Queen Mary across the bay from the park. Level site was plenty large with good hook-ups. This park is nestled right in the city of Long Beach, but it does feel like you are away from all the activity if you choose. Stayed two nights. The pet area is astro-turf at the far corner of the park. It is fenced, but is really just an afterthought to appease us puppy parents.... Read More

The pet area is astro-turf at the far corner of the park. It is fenced, but is really just an afterthought to appease us puppy parents. My picky pup would not use that area and I had to walk her outside the park to an adjacent park with real grass - approx. 5 minutes. The office staff was efficient, but cold and distant. The ground staff seems to avoid the guests. Didn't use the pool or restrooms. I would likely stay again if in LA.

I'm back here again, after two years gone, this rv park has such brawn! I full time, and travel quite a bit, mostly staying at resorts, with an occasional rv park, and I must admit, this park is like no other, the staff is kind, considerate, can caring. The park is spectacularly clean from top to bottom, not even a cigarette butt, or for that matter any trash to be seen. This is an all inclusive park, from the facilities to the staff, this park parallels the greatest resorts for which I've stayed.... Read More

Should you need a most awesome place to park while in this area, if you don't visit here, I fear you won't find any other park, where the employees are happy as a lark, and so too are the guest, that benefit from the quality and simply the best. Thank you team here at Golden Shore RV Resort, you guys are the best and set a standard for all the rest.

Considering this park's location in Long Beach, CA, it was a real find. Easy to get to considering the mass of cars and freeways in LA. It even has its own exit off I-710. We were visiting several relatives around LA so the location was convenient. The staff is friendly, the park is quiet, well maintained and laid out efficiently. We arrived before the 7 PM office closure, however it was dark and difficult backing a trailer into a tight spot. The road width barely allows adequate room for... Read More

We arrived before the 7 PM office closure, however it was dark and difficult backing a trailer into a tight spot. The road width barely allows adequate room for a truck and trailer to maneuver. For security they have an automated gate which requires someone to get out of the vehicle and enter a code It's a bit of a pain, but I appreciated the security. WIFI was the best I've experienced in an RV park (free and over 90 MIPS - up and down). We were located near a transmitter, so it might not be the same throughout the park, but it was sure a treat watching Netfix or streaming a sporting event from back home (not on local channels).

$340 week/$48 day #71 Built in the olden days of 20' airstreams and Class C campers, this place is very cramped with todays big rigs barely squeezing in to the all back in sites. TV parking is very limited with our truck wedged in eliminating our front "yard" and barely allowing us to open our trailer door. Sites are clay dirt which is fine when dry but a sticky mess if there is rain. Obviously they know they're the only RV park in the area with a very "take it or leave it" attitude displayed... Sites are clay dirt which is fine when dry but a sticky mess if there is rain. Obviously they know they're the only RV park in the area with a very "take it or leave it" attitude displayed by the staff. When I asked about an alternative area to park my TV, I was told there is no overflow parking at all. When I asked for a larger site, none was available and "most people with large trucks tell us about it in advance." Really? My Ford pickup is a "large truck"? What do other people here pull their 38' TT's with, a Prius? What this place has going for it is its location on the waterfront in downtown Long Beach. Central to all SoCal (keep in mind with LA traffic, 20 miles could take 90 minutes.) The park is clean and tidy, with a central landscaped grass median and palm trees. Large bathhouse is clean and laundry has 4 machines of each. Nice heated pool and hot tub. No WiFi. In 2018 in SoCal there is no wifi at this park. SMH. They have a dog run and grass area, but wouldn't really say they were pet friendly with a $1/night charge per dog (limit 2) and a list of restricted breeds. Park is adjacent to Los Angeles River bike path which also goes along the marinas and beach to the South. Many homeless camps along the path on the river and the park includes a bike theft flyer in the welcome docs.

I'm currently staying here at the park, and I have to tell you, this park, the staff, and the overall quality of the service they deliver is above reproach, these people KNOW how to run a park. While they may not have the best Internet service that's ok, they do have a top notch park here, that frankly is better than any other in the area PERIOD. This is not some big conglomerate, at only 80 appropriately appointed spaces, it is clean, cozy, safe and really the only place to be when staying in this... Read More

It's owned by LA County and should be the model for how the rest of the county conducts business. Thanks Team Golden Shore for an enjoyable stay that will be the first of many.

First, there's the location which is right in downtown Long Beach and is super convenient for everything Long Beach has to offer on the waterfront including being right on a bike path. Not the fault of the park but for some reason we didn't seem to get the ocean breezes here. The sites are somewhat tight with all being back-in with full hookups. The site surface is dirt but it's not dusty. Oddly, most of the sites seem to be noticeably unlevel. Ours had a meaningful drop front to back but the... Read More

The site surface is dirt but it's not dusty. Oddly, most of the sites seem to be noticeably unlevel. Ours had a meaningful drop front to back but the levelers compensated. The park is well maintained and kept clean, including the bathrooms. There is a pool, BBQ area and laundry. The WiFi was OK with periodic failures. I have a pet peeve that is not unique to this park. If you stay exact increments of 7 days you pay a somewhat discounted weekly rate. However, if you stay 1 week plus 3 days, you will pay the weekly rate plus 3 days at the daily rate. It seems to me that the weekly rate should be prorated for the 3 additional days. After all, I assume the weekly rate recognizes that the park doesn't have to go through a site turnover for at least a week so can't the same be said for a 10 day stay? At any rate, this is a high quality park with a great location. We paid a blended average (weekly plus daily) of $50.55.

Friendly check in. Nice sized and level spot. Immaculate bathrooms. picnic table at each site. Community firepit with wood. We LOVE the fact that we can easily walk the waterfront. The city is also just outside the park. This place is great for enjoying the salt air and all that a small city/marina have to offer. We will be back....and have several times :)

Top Notch park! Even though they have RV Age restrictions listed, they allowed me to stay overnight here. My RV is a 1988 Suncrest Class Motor Home that is in great shape. Unlike my experience in Las Vegas, where they said I could not park the RV at a resort, this resort and their personnel are top notch and took care of me the minute I drove up. I wish I could have stayed a little longer to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. It is right downtown Long Beach, CA, near the Queen Mary.... Read More
