If you are looking for a smaller (89 sites), family-owned RV campground that wants you to feel at home, then Water's Edge RV park is your kind of place! The grounds are immaculate bath house closed because of COVID-19, but if the grounds are any example, I am sure it would be immaculate, also. Most sites are wooded with grass, with gravel streets and RV parking. Unlike a lot of RV parks who keep the premium spots for their annual/year-round campers, the transient sites are outstanding, also. No pool, but the green common area is set right on the Bogue Sound, with a newly rebuilt 100-yard pier extending into the Sound, ending in deck area and chairs, perfect for quiet time and/or fishing. Or, you can just enjoy the Sound from rockers/chairs provided at the common area's edge.
This will be our spot for any future NC coastal trips, for sure!
(They have pull-through and back-in sites.)

We stayed here to be close to Morehead City..just a short ride away. Washrooms are very clean and maintained daily. Most RVs are long-term with many spots open for short stays. Internet is only available near the office which is not convenient for sites near the water. Great view along the ICW to watch boats passing by.
