Two weeks before my scheduled stay I contacted the Park and spoke with a person identifying himself as the owner I made reservations for arrival the afternoon of April 15 and departing on the 16thenroute to Houston. I told the owner that I needed a pull-through 50 amp site his reply was "no problem". I offered to give him my credit card information, after giving him my contact info he said he was not in the office, but not to worry. Two weeks before my scheduled stay I contacted the Park and spoke with a person identifying himself as the owner I made reservations for arrival the afternoon of April 15 and departing on the 16thenroute to Houston. I told the owner that I needed a pull-through 50 amp site his reply was "no problem". I offered to give him my credit card information, after giving him my contact info he said he was not in the office, but not to worry. The next day I called again to reconfirm my reservation, the same person answered the phone and this time he accepted my credit card information - which made me feel better about the reservation.
At approximately 3:00PM on April 15th, I arrived at the Park the person on duty was totally surprised by my arrival, he had not information about my reservation, and did not have a pull-through site available. After examining the appearance of the Park, I was not surprised that the Park was a slip-shod low class operation.
The only appealing factor about my visit to the Park was the courtesy of the attendant on duty (not the owner) he gave me the contact information for a couple of nearby Parks. One of those Parks was Bay Berry Park - very friendly and courteous operators.
My advice: DO NOT CONSIDER STAYING AT COUNTRYSIDE RV Park near Gulfport Mississippi.
