We stayed 3 nights to see the area & 1 night to wait out a storm. The park is an easy 8 miles from Interstate 64 (Exit 63) along a good state highway (SR-162). The park has several nice features but they were closed for the season. Some folks received an escort to their site. We did not. The interior roads are paved. Some of them were narrow with tight turns & steep grades. The site parking pads were concrete, paved or gravel. This is another park that doesn't understand the simple concept... Read More

Some of them were narrow with tight turns & steep grades. The site parking pads were concrete, paved or gravel. This is another park that doesn't understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level parking pad! There are a limited number of sites that appeared level. Those with a pitch had a single or double pitch. There is not much privacy between the sites as the sites are close to each other. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. There was an outside table and fire pit. There is an extensive tree canopy which almost restricts satellite reception. Fortunately, we asked for an received a site with satellite access. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The provided WiFi was adequate. Our NET10 phone reception was acceptable. No designated fenced pet area but there was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads as long as you don't mind walking up steep hills. There were bag dispensers and cans to collect waste. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. No structure was identified as a severe weather shelter. Would not want to be here when the park is full. Probably would not stay here again if we returned to visit the area attractions.

First let me say that this place offers everything a family would want, from paddle boats, miniature golf, game room, play ground, pool and water park. The over-all ambiance is nice. The place is huge. We were given a site that turned out to be not acceptible due to being close to activity center and small size. Also had no guidance to the site. The roads are not marked well with several streeet signs missing so it was confusing. I went back to office and was given my choice of any empty site,... Read More

WiFi was typical for RV parks - slow. No cable TV and limited over the air channels. Lots of room to walk since the park was so large. We got there on a Sunday, and the place was crowded. By Monday afternoon the place cleared out and was much quieter. They have a large number of golf carts that they rent, and to me they are a nuisance since people are always driving around the park in them. Not supposed to be children driving them, but many did, and some only had younger teenagers driving. The restrooms had been trashed by unsupervised kids. We would go back, but only during the week in the fall and if we could choose our site. I'm told that on fall weekends they are packed with their Halloween activities.

We spent two days at the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort. We found the park very well maintained, with plenty of amenities. Staff were friendly and efficient. We appreciated the nice, well maintained pad, easy access to the amusement park, and the trees, which ensure it doesn't feel like a parking lot. We will definitely stay here again!
