UPDATE: Zion River Resort RV Park is the 100th stop for us and our second time here – we stayed for 7 nights. Great launching point for Zion and Bryce. It is obvious the workers take pride in their work. After each camper departs, someone comes through to rake/sweep/level the site and they are friendly. They put money back into the park as they were planting a number of new trees and since our last visit, they upgraded their WiFi network. Well laid out, friendly check in folks, sites well maintained. Great atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, all utilities worked well (last year's fallen leaves were still smothering drain area over sewer connection which I needed to muck out). Only criticism: internet so weak that I have had to reconnect seven times just to write this review, even with a WiFi booster. This has been typical during our three night stay. For $100/night ($89 + taxes), I would like to have had this service available. Read More

We chose this park to stay at while visiting Zion National Park. The staff is very nice and professional and were helpful with their answers to our questions. The spaces were a little close for our liking but they are trying to put as many folks in the park as possible. The paved road and level sites are great. TV and Wi-fi were good for an RV park. Was expecting more based on reviews. This place is 15 minutes from Zion, next time I would stay in Springdale or beautiful Kanab. The sites are incredibly small, especially the riverside spots. You also can't even see the River unless you are inside your RV as there is a big wall in the back. River spot not necessary. They do have a cute store and gold mining for kids. Pool is average. Can't ride electric bikes or put up clothesline's to dry swimsuits. Just okay overall.
First of all, you CAN find RV Parks in Springdale that are closer to the main south entrance to Zion (which is THE Main Entrance). But we had a toad (our little Honda Fit) and we preferred just driving the 16 miles or so from Virgin to the park and being able to camp in one of the nicest parks you'll find. We had read that Zion River Resort was a great place to stay. And it truly is. I have only one significant complaint. But first, the good: 1) The lots are huge. Very wide and with lovely... Read More

We had read that Zion River Resort was a great place to stay. And it truly is. I have only one significant complaint. But first, the good:
1) The lots are huge. Very wide and with lovely grass and gravel. Everyone gets a grassy area. The concrete pad is very level.
2) The hookups are great. I get so frustrated when parks put the water hookup really low to the ground and you can barely get your hose hooked up. No such issue here. Electric is great, as was sewer. Just want you want.
3) The clubhouse / gift shop is nice. Basic stuff, but also some nice gift items. And beer! (In Utah!!) Everyone was friendly.
4) When you first pull in there are several clearly marked, LARGE lots for "check in". Although with COVID, there was no check in process, we used this spot to unhitch our toad so that we could get to our spot more easily.
5) Being near the Virgin River is great. What a peaceful place to visit.
And the one downside. There is virtually no cell signal in Virgin. Certainly not enough to even begin to create a hot spot. There is wifi (and we even had a booster on our site)...but there was still terribly connectivity. We could , in the early morning, check our email and such. In the evening, forget it. No streaming, no surfing. Being out of touch with the world is fine, but it's still nice to be able to do some last minute park research, touch base with the kids and post some photos on Facebook. Most of that was impossible during the 3 nights we spent here. We've stayed at many humbler parks and had no issue with connecting and streaming. Not sure what Zion River Resort could do to improve things, but they should do it. Probably need more than one source of wifi.
HOWEVER, this was a friendly, peaceful, lovely place. We'd stay again without hesitation.

Zion RV Resort was clean, organized, & had friendly staff. We spent most of our day on the river which had good access, a sandy beach area, and we all felt safe. We had family of 4 kids: 14,11,7,3. When we were done with river we jumped in their heated pool and their hot tub. Wifi was excellent. Cable was good. All water, sewer, power connections were good. NO issues whatsoever. Showers & restrooms were very clean. BUT, I gotta say having a 5 minute delay between showers is ridiculous. I shower... Read More

Showers & restrooms were very clean. BUT, I gotta say having a 5 minute delay between showers is ridiculous. I shower w/ my little ones which means we take longer than individuals. And because of that delay, we ended up with freezing with soap still on us waiting for 5 minutes until the next cycle can turn on.

Very overrated!! Backing up to a river doesn't happen. You back up to a rock and dirt wall. Back-in spaces are smaller than pull-thru even though they look the same on the map. Breakers kept going off whenever it got hot, so a whole section was without power periodically. People were nice and did their best to help. You feel crowded, so if that is good for you, you will like it here. Park is well maintained. Would not stay there again. Internet is average.
Stayed in a pull thru site for 3 nights. Could not use the restrooms due to the corona virus but the site was great. Close to Zion NP and the Virgin River is right next to the campground. Staff was very friendly. The pull thru sites are concrete pads with grass on the camping side and gravel around the fire pit. We will be going back after they open Zion.
This is a beautiful park. Owners/operators keep it so clean and tidy. Cement pads for RVs and trailers with gravel and grass areas at each site. They come out to each site between camp guests and brush the gravel, clean the aluminum picnic tables, and put everything back in it's proper place before the next guests arrive. So attentive! Staff is friendly and courteous. We will definitely recommend this park to friends and stay there again if we are back in the area.
Very clean campground! Quiet and 14 miles to the park! I appreciate all the help from the employees and guest help! I would highly recommend this RV Park! Thank you for a great vacation! Thanks, Steady! Keep your powder dry! Semper Fi
Extremely friendly staff. Campground is well maintained, clean and quite. You are about 20 minutes from the park entrance which is very convenient if you have a tow car. Easy to access, lots of room for big rigs.
We really enjoyed our stay at this facility. Our site backed up to the river, and the sound of the river at night was so relaxing. We had the best sleep in a long time.
If you are going to Zion this is the place to stay. don't go with out reservations this campground is very popular
Sites a little snug. Individual restrooms were good. Park store was great. WiFi was weak. River access not available - you can see river, but can't access.
This is a very nice Park well managed, clean and well maintained, we have stayed her twice while visiting Zion it is close maybe 10 minutes from the entrance to the park, Pool was great.
Have stayed here twice - both times the park is clean, check in is quick and professional- and the location is great- thank you for a fabulous stay !
This is a 5 star RV park--great staff and facilities--the only complaint is spotty to marginal wifi--poor location for Verizon cell service--grainy cable broadcast--however, we will come back again.
The resort was beautiful but the space was small. We were able to fit our trailer but your pretty close to your neighbors. I loved how spaces have grass. The bathrooms and showers are clean. My only complaint was I wish they had separate bathrooms instead of having it inside the showers because the lines in the morning has a long wait.
We stayed in a pull through full hookup site. The facilities are very well maintained. The bathroom/shower and laundry facilities are immaculate. Staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return. The resort is a short drive to Zion National Park.
Zion River RV Resort is a 5-star RV Park and I agree with the Good Sam rating. The RV Resort has very good paved roads, 50 amp power, and superb WiFi signal throughout the park. Facilities and amenities are top notch. The RV Resort is located 14 miles from Zion National Park and we preferred to stay in Virgin rather than one of the RV parks in Springdale right outside the national park in order to avoid all the hectic traffic, crowds etc. Zion River RV Resort is very quiet, which we looked forward... A great place clean well kept very helpful and friendly
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very nice. Comparing this place to a 10/10/10 resort I stayed in recently, I think this place was overall better. I had a back in spot and it worked rather well. The connections for the back-ins are located about mid-way deep in the site. While this did not cause a problem for me, I can see how a trailer who's connections are all the way in the back could have an issue. The playground for the kids is nice, but the wood is starting to... Read More

The playground for the kids is nice, but the wood is starting to show it's age and is a little weathered. The grounds are well maintained and I did see the grounds crew sweeping and raking the gravel after someone departed to make the site ready for the next customer.
My family really enjoyed this campground and will be returning in the future.

Nice level sites! We had been traveling for a week and our motorhome was very dirty. We were able to have the motorhome washed on site and they did a great job. No more bugs on the windshield. We enjoyed friendly neighbors and all the beautiful sights of the area. Note to big rigs - the tunnels from the East are very challenging - height, width and length restrictions. Whew!
I suppose you would call this a "high end" RV park and as such the price reflects that. Nice asphalt driveways and level concrete pads with a grass strip in between, picnic table and fire ring. Pool, clubhouse, game room, laundry, etc. complete the picture. Two minor complaints, again, relative to the price. I'm not a big fan of individual toilet/shower combinations. It seems that with this configuration, people tend to leave water throughout the room so every time I went in to just use the... Read More

It seems that with this configuration, people tend to leave water throughout the room so every time I went in to just use the toilet, the floor and area around the sink were very wet. Secondly, I was told that sprinklers would run during the night but was assured that it would not spray my motorhome. Turns out I ended up with hard water spots on one side of my motorhome from the sprinklers. WiFi was good but cable was a little weak, limited channel selection and some were poor quality picture.

We stayed here while visiting Zion National Park. This was a very clean and well maintained RV park. The only real issue I had was that the hookups were a good distance from the rear of my trailer and luckily I had already bought electrical and sewer extensions in anticipation of going somewhere with this issue. The staff were friendly and checking in was quick. They had complimentary wine tasting the night we arrived, and although we didn't partake, it was a nice thing to have it there if we wanted.... Next time I will reserve a pull through just to have a slab and some grass. Our site was a little too close to a tree so I was unable to open my awning, but the tree did provide shade. All in all a great place to call a home base. We will come back again!

Good Sam rating is accurate. Very professional employees, great facility. Exactly as an upscale RV park should be. Pet friendly. All facilities (laundry, pool, pet area, store) were spotless and in excellent condition. Our motorhome and trailer are 65'; pull through was just right. We like a lot of privacy and even with our site right next to check in; never felt exposed. Just 10 minutes from Zion and some incredible meals at Spotted Dog & Oscars in Springdale.
We had one of the premium pull thru sites with a very nice level concrete pad. The laundry room was nice, but a little high priced at $2/load. Great location not far outside of Zion National Park and they had a shuttle to the park as well for a small fee. If you have Verizon cell phones, this park is a dead space. They do have a Verizon extender but you have to sit in the game room to make your calls. Overall a beautiful park in a beautiful, quiet area.
