Small campground with gravel sites, reasonably level, all back-in (no pull through). We had water and electric. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very shaded and nice trails near the Estero River. The alligator issue is a non-issue. None have been sighted in 5 years. The Koreshan historical site and tour is free and a must-see. Short drive to restaurants, gas, movie theaters, and grocery stores. I would certainly stay there again.
No pull-thru sites. Lush vegetation all around sites with ample shade trees. Nice privacy, friendly people. Handicap sites are paved, most others are a hard pack gravel and dirt. For the tents there are some grassy spots also. No swimming, Estero River is home to the alligators I hear. The locals like to use the ramp to launch kayaks and small boats. Nice clean facilities. Only discounts are for 65 years or older or verified disabled.
