Nice campground on the banks on. Lake Okeechobee. Nice shower house's and laundry, the rest of the property was shut down for use. Affordable prices and location to bigger cities. The manager Sherryll is a sweetheart and always makes us feel welcome. We have stayed there part of 4 seasons so far. A restaurant and small store would be a bonus for the Rvers and marina users.
The restrooms were locked. ...the pool was green and slimy
The town is small and dirty, but this place is very pretty, RIGHT on the lake. The sites are a little tight, but okay. We did find that they put us up close to the front and it was crowded, but they had many empty, bigger sites toward the back. If we go back, I will ask for one of those!
There are many crowded campgrounds around Lake Okeechobee, some trashy and right on the road with all of that traffic noise. This isn't one of them! Most GPS will take you to the center of Pahokee, 190 North Lake is actually up over the dam to the lake. This was a KOA that defaulted and has been taken over by the town so some old reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. There are various prices and site, water and metered electric are billed separately. We think this is a book keeping thing... Read More

This was a KOA that defaulted and has been taken over by the town so some old reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. There are various prices and site, water and metered electric are billed separately. We think this is a book keeping thing for the various town departments that have a piece of this pie. You will see them all coming in to check their systems plus Fish & Game checking the fishermen s catch and the police tend to take their breaks sitting on the dam.
There is a propane delivery truck on Tuesday & Thursday
The are no pull thru's as all 118 campsites are lakefront. Across the road from your site is a grass covered dam so there is plenty of maneuvering room. If your neighbors are angled in to better watch the sunset you'll need to also. All sites are close to level and hard packed. If you need to put in tent stakes you should ask for a site with something to tie onto like a tree, pole or fireplug.
58 sites have full hook ups, the others are being repaired. Some have tables and fire pits. Our fire pit has wild flowers growing in it, I wouldn't think of building a fire! There are 3 bath/showers with the newest being at the pool. There is another bath at the marina, the one in the picnic area is closed for repair. One has a working coin laundry, another is being repaired.
Wi-Fi is coming. There is a hot-spot by the office and library. My antenna is getting 41 both east & west coast TV stations
Very quiet site with waves being the loudest thing you'll probably hear, maybe a train or the roosters in the morning. The dam between the campground and town is a good sound break and provides miles of bike and walking path.
Food/Shopping
Next to the pool is Mo's Bar/Grill, great sandwiches and burgers. There is outside seating if you brought Fido.
Over the dam and left, Chamber of Commerce, Barber, Tacos, Chicken, Dunking-Dounuts, Pizza, 2 Dollar stores and a Save-a-lot
Straight, Catfish
Right 3 blocks, Library and playground
For any major shopping we go to BJ's, Target, Walmart & Publix while in the Palm Beaches.
