My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Holiday. We chose a waterfront site and it was picturesque. This is not a fancy campground but it's clean, safe, and well kept.
We got a travel trailer for Christmas and this was our first camping adventure away from home (home was only 9 miles away). We LOVE this camp ground. We were right on the water and wished we had brought our kayaks. Quiet with beautiful views. Angelo's restaurant is across the street if you didn't want to cook and a gas station stocked with groceries if you forget something is right next to the restaurant. Friendly staff. There is a fishing pier. They are always policing the area so security is reassuring.... Read More

This campground is located right on Ochlocknee Bay. Many of the sites are right on the waterfront. Ours was a waterfront site. You will see sunsets here. There is also a beautiful fishing dock and a pool. There are a few minor negatives that I will get out of the way first. The sites are sandy gravel and you may track dirt into your rig, plus when it rains, the sand spatters on everything. There is no place to get your hookup hoses cleaned up to put away when you go. You'll have to do it... Read More

You'll have to do it at the next place. Our water hookup spigot (site 19) was so close to the ground that we had a hard time hooking up our hose because it was kinking. We did finally get it hooked up though so it is possible. Okay, now the good stuff. The woman who handled the check in was wonderful. Not only with getting us situated in the campsite, but also letting us know what there was to do in the local area, recommending places to visit. We had a mechanical issue with our motorhome and could not get it started. She went out of her way to call people she knew to find us help and reassured us not to worry about being parked right alongside the office for 4 hours. There are some full time residents of the park and they are wonderful people. They came and helped us get our motor started. The one guy was a mechanic and just likes helping out fellow campers. One thing you will notice when you come to the Panhandle is that the people are the best people you will ever meet. We used to live in this area and had to move away. We miss the people (and the smoked mullet dip) so much! Real America! Definitely recommend you visit this park and we will be back for sure!
