We had such a relaxing visit during our stay this weekend at Hickory Point. The campground is very laid back and tropical. It is very clean and peaceful. The management is so nice and helpful. Next time we will stay at a lot on the river or by the park. Our friends parked by the river and it was so peaceful to sit and watch the boats, seagulls, birds, fish, sunset. They have horseshoes, volleyball net, campfire, beach, and blueberry pancakes on Sunday! There is a lot to see and do in Tarpon... Read More

Don't waste your time or money. Disappointing. This campground has a few sites on the river but they are very expensive and not worth the price. Restrooms are small and disgusting. Laundry area also small with 3 washers and 3 dryers. Poorly kept grounds. The "park" as they call it is actually a DOG park. Watch where you walk! Much nicer parks in the area for less money.
First of all, the staff were all very friendly. If you rely on shower facilities do not stay here. They are horrible, barely usable. So small you cannot comfortably get dry nor get dressed. No hooks in the men's showers so my poor husband had to get dressed outside of the shower with the chance of showing all his glory if someone else came in. This was the primary reason we left early. We stayed 4 out if 30 days. This park is way over priced. We had one of the supposed waterfront spots. It's... Read More

No Wi-Fi and no cable and very small laundry (3 washers & 3 dryers). Plenty to do in the area, nice state and county parks with trails and of course the sponge docks. Overall. We won't come back to this place unless they do major renovations on the shower/restroom facilities and we won't stay in a "waterfront" spot.

We stayed on site #201 for two nights which was listed as a waterfront site. It's not a waterfront site, it's a waterview! The reservation map indicates that this is a waterfront site and charges you accordingly. The waterfront sites are designed for motorhomes pulling straight in. The full connections are on the front left of the site(looking from the road). Unfortunately travel trailers are best to back in which puts the connections on the right rear. We did eventually make it work with extra... Read More

We did eventually make it work with extra sewer hose and water hose but the sewer hose, waterline and cable went through our walking path near the doors of the camper. Because of this set up the doors to our camper were literally 2' from the bushes and the sewer connection. This really wasn't a big deal as we were here to visit people and not to spend time at the campsite. The campground in general was ok but it did have a few full-timers that made it seem more like a trailer park rather than a campground. We never used the bathroom facilities but the water pressure was very strong. It is close to many attractions including downtown Tarpon Springs and the sponge docks which are loaded with fun stuff to do. There is also a dock that you can fish from and watch the boats zipping by. In the future we will return but we will opt for a cheaper non premium site with full hook ups designed for a travel trailer and not a motorhome.

We loved this place and will be back. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well kept property with gorgeous views of the Anclote River and on-site boat ramp.
Wouldn't recommend. Very high priced for what they have to offer. Much nicer and cheaper places around the area. Very limited activities. They rely on what's around the area . Small laundry facility. Small club house. If your a full timer forget it. You will no longer be treated as a customer and the rules for you will differ from the short stay people. As for complaints, payments or any thing related to management or staff they have very limited hours (when they come in). Just look else where.... Read More

Basically it's a money hungry place with nothing to offer.
