This is a fun campground with lots to do and see. Nature trails, boating, big picnic pavilions with sinks and running water. We took our 3 large dogs on walks on the nature trails and they loved it. Beware of ticks though! Also, as others have mentioned, there are many rabbits. We came home one night to find one lounging underneath our RV. Our dogs so desperately wanted to chase the rabbits, and we had to be sure to hold tightly to their leashes. The bunnies do run away, though they're not... Read More

Our dogs so desperately wanted to chase the rabbits, and we had to be sure to hold tightly to their leashes. The bunnies do run away, though they're not so tame that they'll just let a dog come up and eat them, thank goodness! We liked the atmosphere here lots more bicycles than golf carts. The restrooms are nice enough not air conditioned, but the showers are large with good water pressure. Riding my bike back from the shower one night I passed a campground with someone softly playing guitar and singing around a campfire there were lots of personalized campsites with lights, flags, signs, etc. -- overall a fun, happy atmosphere. Our site was level and long, plenty of length for our 43' toy hauler and truck with lots of room left over. Hookups, cable and wifi worked well. The reasons I give it 4 stars overall instead of 5 is that the sites are close together (although trees and shrubs in between sites do give good privacy), so that it's a bit crowded seeming, and that there is no swimming pool.

Very nice county campground in outskirts of Brunswick GA. Close to historic Brunswick downtown, Jekyll Island, and St. Simons Island. Campground is in the woods between two waterways and a small inland lake. Sites are relatively spacious, and there are some pull-throughs large enough for big rigs. Trees and bushes between sites give good privacy. Good WIFI and cable. Good restrooms and showers. Did not use the laundry facility. Picnic table and fire ring. Domesticated rabbits roaming free and... Read More

Domesticated rabbits roaming free and obviously well fed by the campers. Boat ramp into the South Brunswick River kayaking in the bordering inland lake. Bring bug spray. Overall the best county campground we have visited. Would definitely return.

We generally love this park. We have stayed many times, and will return. It is quiet and peaceful. We usually use a back in site, but there are many pull thrus which are wooded and very long. They have a boat ramp and a swimming area. Often you are lucky to see deer. There is a long entrance from the main road which is nice for biking. It is convenient to stores and other areas. We enjoy going into st. Simons island often when we stay here. My only real problem (unless they have fixed it) is that... Read More

My only real problem (unless they have fixed it) is that the shower by 10 area is unlockable, and the newer building that has handicapped showers is not very functional because they are not hand held.

Beautiful campground with very large, private sites. Nice area with a lot to see and do. We were there in July so it was very hot but close to the ocean so not unbearable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are reasonably priced. We would definitely come back.
