A nice park with friendly staff! We had lot 1 and it was ideal, the only down was some road noise. I am from a very quiet area, so the noise likely wouldn’t be noticed by others. Green grass, lots of areas to walk the dogs, a pond with benches, clean, and quiet in the park. The park is a nice, quiet place.
Good campground overall. Shaded and peaceful. The dips and speed bumps played havoc on our big rig towing. Enter slowly or you will wipe out your tow cables as we did. Better yet, remove car being towed and then pull in. Shower room was clean but dated. Hot water disappeared when another shower started. Laundry looked nice as did pool, office, and dog yard. Would stay here again without attached tow car.
Our truck broke down on our way to Florida and we needed a place to stay, possibly for an extended period of time. A OK found us a site. Next day the owner gave us a quart of oil for the truck, no charge. We needed to move sites and the owner moved us as we could not use our truck. One of our stabilizer bars broke and the owner fixed it, all at no charge. We have not been in a campsite where the owners have been nicer, more helpful or more accommodating. These are new owners. In my view the prior reviews are either relating to the previous owners or unfair. They are making a big effort to clean up the campground and modernize. It is very quiet. They also serve good pizza! We would definitely stay here again.

Smells like raw sewage all over campground....very disappointed....sites very hard to get in....
We had reserved a pull thru, full hookups for our 42' motor home, towing an SUV. We were lead to a site where the front wheels of the RV mired down in the gravel and mud. We had to power thru to avoid getting stuck. We called the office and they sent someone out to lead us to another site. The new site was not a pull thru so we had to disconnect the towed vehicle. After completely setting up (full hookups, jacks down, level, slides out, dinner cooking) we were told we had to move because this was... Read More

After completely setting up (full hookups, jacks down, level, slides out, dinner cooking) we were told we had to move because this was the owner's site. After much discussion, we gave in and moved to the third site (unhook everything, slides in, jacks up etc) and set up again. And after all that, the site we vacated was not used. The owner was rude and not apologetic. Good Sam should do an unannounced visit to this park. It is definitely not big rig friendly or friendly at all.

We have stayed at the Calhoun facility numerous times, when it was the Calhoun KOA and again this trip when it was the Calhoun A-OK campground. The pictures on the campground website are approximately 10 years old, when the campground was a KOA. At one time this was a very nice campground but after this trip, our family has decided not to return. The grass has not been cut, the roads are bad, my husband could not understand the individual behind the counter, the fence around the animals was falling... Read More

The pictures on the campground website are approximately 10 years old, when the campground was a KOA. At one time this was a very nice campground but after this trip, our family has decided not to return. The grass has not been cut, the roads are bad, my husband could not understand the individual behind the counter, the fence around the animals was falling down and most of the park is being occupied by "permanent" trailers, that are run down or look like junk yards. The camper behind us had a "beware of dog" sign posted upon seeing me walking one of our dogs with a flash light, the dog started barking as though it was in attack mode. I had to yell to the owner, asking if the dog was restrained. It was quite frightening. I would not allow our daughter to walk around the campground by herself as I didn't feel it was safe. I think that Good Sam should re-evaluate allowing this campground to be Good Sam affiliated. It was nice once, but no more.

Not a good place to stay was told one price then when we got hear it was 50.00 higher than what they said so we had to pay 145.00 for 4 days no sewer no cable the place has mobile homes in it all the sites with sewer have all long term and goodsam needs to drop them just like k.o.a did
This park is NOT a 8! The sites are VERY small and there are full timers every where. Along with the full timers there is junk all around their campers. The roads are VERY small and the camp sites are not even close to being level. This park is lucky to be a 1 or a 2! I will NEVER stay at this place again.Do yourself a favor and pass this park by and go to another.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Campground. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Pool was nice, and clean. The warm complimentary cookies were delicious. We will certainly stop, and stay again when we are traveling through. Thanks you guys ROCK!!!!!!!
A good thing we got to this park before dark. The RV spot we were given was in the very back of the park no lights. There was very little room and I had great concern for how I was going to get out of the spot. The park is very hilly and dirt/gravel road with a lot of dips. The water pressure was so high that the hose I use for my sani-flush system blew out good thing I had a cut off valve in the off position when I turn the water on. There was a lot of noise. The RV next to us left around... Read More

The RV next to us left around 3 o'clock in the morning making a lot of noise. I don't understand how this park got the ratings listed on the Good Sam System. Oh and I was charged almost $40.00 which was way too much for this park.
