The property is enormous, it is 1.5 miles from. The check in point to the campground. The campground is not marked, but it is easy too find. The are very large back in spots, with full hook ups advertised, but during our visit water was still unavailable. We were able to fill our fresh tank at the lodge during check in. There are no ammenities at the sites like garbage cans, picnic tables, hanging posts, play ground area, swimming/fishing hole, kids activities area, etc, these currently are not... Read More

There are no ammenities at the sites like garbage cans, picnic tables, hanging posts, play ground area, swimming/fishing hole, kids activities area, etc, these currently are not offered at this park. There are no trees at the sites, the material that was used on the sites is silt like agragate and impossible to keep out of your rig. Prepare to be sweeping shiny sand particles off of everything non stop. This destination is solely intended for people who are looking to ride offroad vehicles in conjuction with camping. With that said, you will hear offroad vehicles operating around the campgrounds all day and night, as there seems to be no ride cut off time. We observed signs leading in to the campgrounds that stated 15 mph speed limit and the words "no dust". The problem was with the enforcement of the posted rules. During our stay, we had numerous offroad vehicles operating well over the posted speed limit around our site. We addressed this issue with the individuals themselves and the park employees. The park has 4300 acres of trails, why would you ride in the campground is beyond my comprehension. The following evening the campground was turned in to a side by side rally cross track at 2230L. Total disregard for the safety of the people staying in the campground. It presented a very dangerous situation as we walked our small dog prior to going to sleep for the night, as these machines raced through the pitch black camp grounds. There are no over head lights, in fact there are no lights at all within the campground. Even after seeing us walking along the road, these fools continued drifting recklessly throughout the campground at very high speeds. For so many reasons this is unacceptable, and extremely dangerous. My wife and I also own and ride offroad vehicles, so this park is very appealing to us. It has great potential, but currently it is far from said potential. Far to dangerous, and an extremely irritating holiday experience. We cut our trip short by 2 days, and headed home. While exiting the campground, a side by side was simultaneously entering at a very high rate of speed and sprayed rocks all down the side of our camper. What is wrong with people? In the future we will boondock camp in a remote spot in the park as we've done previously. Currently, there is no bathhouse, they are in the process of building one but it is a half mile away from the campgrounds. For $85 and tax per night plus riding fees, there are more accomodating, and affordable options in this area for weekend/holiday stays. This review is based solely on our experience within the new campground area. For reviews on the offraod park itself, can be found at their home page
