A very good stop for one night. Level pull-thru site. Friendly staff. Price is right.

Nice campground, about 30 minutes to Quad Cities. The new owners (Sep. 2018) are great and making good improvements. Sites are decent size, nearly all pull-through FHU campground is located right next to the Hennepin Canal, excellent for walking / biking / fishing / canoeing. Clean and spacious bathrooms / showers. Dog park 1 mile away. Quiet location. Be aware that GPS directions from south may take you under a 10' bridge - pay attention to camping signs / truck route. Geneseo is a nice small... Read More

Lovely little campground. New owners had been on the job a week when we arrived. You could feel their enthusiasm for their new venture. The restrooms and showers were not fancy, but well decorated and very clean. There is a bike trail that is awesome to the right of the grounds, an old obsolete canal... at one end a primitive lock, at the other a viaduct...the canal literally traverses a stream below... amazing to see... the trails continue for a great distance in both directions.. The trail is... Read More

The trail is the one used by mule teams to pull the vessels along the canal. Out site was a pull through, with full connections, easily accessed. Lots of trees. Sites are level hard packed gravel. Beautiful farm on the left side. NOTE: When passing through the town of Geneseo, follow the truck route!!! The GPS will likely take you direct, which has an overpass that has only 10' of clearance!!! Local neighbors know the drill... they came running when we stopped and were very helpful in getting us backed up and back on the truck route. The only negative at the facility was that the internet is a little mickey-mouse... limit one device at a time for free connection. Not a deal breaker. Would visit again...

Small campground 4 mi. from I-80. Quiet. Staff very helpful. Restrooms and laundry clean and well-stocked. Recycle just about everything. .Roads dirt and gravel. Most sites pull-through. Near Hennepin Canal with walking and biking trail-accessibility from campground. Farmers market in town on Saturday. A few miles away is an historic town settled by Swedish immigrants. Worth visiting. Would return.
