Location is right off I-57 and close access to stores, such as Wally World. Downside is the road noise. The CG is standard issue at best. Sites are gravel and mostly level. Very close to neighbors, no fire rings, picnic tables have seen better days and the ground worn down with minimal grass. Nice area to walk the dog. Close to the Shawnee Wine Trail.

Originally booked a state park for the weekend, but the appeal of full hookups was too hard to pass up after our long drive. We were in town to visit our daughter, who is attending SIUC, and was only a short 15-20 minutes from her apartment complex. Loved the pull through sites and the easy access to plenty of restaurants and my all time favorite - walmart. Check in was a breeze and camp host was very friendly. Our site was clean and level with a gravel pad. Lots of amenities that we didn't... Read More

Small but very clean RV park with level gravel parking, both back in and pull through sites. They have very nice, private shower rooms and also a small but adequate laundry room. There was a playground and dog walk, although I don't have children nor a dog so I can't really critique them. They also have a small bar on-site. The staff were amazing and friendly. I highly recommend this park and if I'm ever back in the area again, I will absolutely stay there.

We are Good Sam members and rely on the recommendations and ratings. I grew up with Good Sam as our family trailered throughout the US. We are driving cross county. Because of COVID we packed meals and only stop for fuel and for the nights. This park came highly rated and is Good Sam recommended. There is NO acknowledgement of COVID. The office is a bar packed with drinkers not wearing masks. The reception manager did not wear a mask and No recognition of the pandemic. He took my credit card. Nothing... Read More

Nothing touch less The bathrooms were limited. Two were open and both were filled with human waste - not flushed. One was clogged with feces and paper. We're exhausted and have been driving for hours. This park is a nightmare- I never write bad reviews. But I must warn anyone who is concerned about COVID and hygiene to stay away from this place.

This is what RV parks should be. What a nice little park. Shaded by mature trees. Sites were level gravel. Large grassy area in the back large enough to have a football game, perfect to exercise the dog. Facilities were clean, staff was pleasant and courteous. Only stayed one night. Highly recommend.

Very nice little park. One curious thing: this is the first and so far only RV park that the "Googlebug" (the VW Google uses to drive around for street views) came into the park, right to the middle of the second row! That's pretty cool. Stopped for an overnight to visit the inlaws. However, the skies opened up, the rains came, and rivers started rising. Became unsafe for us to leave the next day. When we approached the management to see if they could accommodate us another night, it was "sure, no problem!" Given the bad conditions, this was greatly appreciated! Park is clean, well maintained and quiet, and very convenient to the interstate. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Didn't use the bathhouse and laundry facilities, so can't comment on those. Lots of green area, playground equipment and a pole barn group area with cooking facilities.

We just stayed overnight. We found the staff friendly, the facilities were very clean and the campground was quiet. It was everything we wanted in an overnight experience. I would stay there again for sure.

This campground is convenient to the highway exit. The only complaint I have is that the cable tv system was not working and no consideration was given for this disappointment

Easy access and nice gravel sites. Beautiful restroom facilities. Pretty tight turns for a 49 foot with tow vehicle. Had some trouble logging onto internet hosts were not there when we came in but had everything ready for us. Met them in the am and they were lovely

Sites fairly level. Gravel. Shady, Good cable. Excellent place to walk dogs. Playground for children. Right off Interstate. GPS directions have you go in the back way. Call the desk for information on this. Did not notice interstate noise. Would stay again. Spoke to other campers who were there for the state parks. We were just traveling through.
