Griff's Valley View RV Park Good Sam Verified Campground

I've stayed at Griffs a few times now and It's been great every time. The couple who run the park and the farm next door are very nice and the park is well maintained and well laid out. The rates are also the best in the area. It's become one of the places I always look forward to going back to because I know it'll be an easy, trouble-free stay.

Only stayed here one night, but this place wowed me. The facility is immaculately kept -- our site had a level cement pad long enough to accommodate anything it would be legal to drive down the highway. All site utilities worked with no trouble. All grass and landscaping were neatly trimmed and there was absolutely no litter or anything else out of place. We were given a phone number to call upon arrival at the campground. The only reasons I didn't give Griff's five stars across the board are the lack of wifi, and the lack of on-site customer-contact staff (the owner/manager lives off-site). We would stay here again.

Very clean, well kept, nice level concrete pads. Exercise room and showers excellent as well as the game room.

This is a beautiful campground with lots of grass and good spacing between sites. The office is offsite, so it is best if you have a reservation (and they fill up). We showed up without a reservation and had to drive back out to the office, a couple miles down the road. Luckily, they had one spot available. We would stay here again.

Great, quiet location near to Des Moines and the interstate hiqhways. All sites and roads are paved and clean. Great views from up on the hill. We'll put this park on our list of stops between our winter and summer homes.

I chose this facility near Des Moines based on the Good Sam reviews and ratings. I was not disappointed! I called in the middle of the afternoon and talked to the owner/manager while on the road. She was very polite and helpful. The rate for my 32' class C was $30 including tax. Full hookups and concrete pad. We stayed the next night as well on our way home. The area is well maintained, and the sites surround a small lake. I will definitely stay here again.

We used this campground while waiting to pick up our new RV from RVOne in Des Moines. It is conveniently located, well maintained. The large cement spaces are more than adequate for our 44' motorhome with 4 slideouts and parking for our tow car. There are back in and pull through spaces. The rates are reasonable for this time of year. There is a lovely pond with fountains that has a paddleboat and fishing (throwback). Carol, the owner/manager, was great in getting us a space during a busy time, and left the billing open-ended since we didn't know how long we would be here (days or a week). Haven't been in the restrooms so can't rate them. There is good internet for purchase by the day, week, etc. No cable but Dish network works great because of not too many trees. Highly recommended park.
