We stayed at the Amana RV Park for Frogtoberfest and had a great experience. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. When we arrived we were guided not just to the space, but into the space our host spotted for us while we backed in, and let us know to just contact him if we needed anything. The park was pretty full for Octoberfest, but it didn’t feel that way. We also fell in love with the Amana Colonies and the wonderful people there. Their sense of community is strong, and everyone we met... Read More

After being crammed together like sardines in the previous campground we'd stayed in, this was absolute pleasure. It was reasonably priced, spacious, and level. There aren't many trees, but it is good to see them planting them. We would stay here again.
We did an overnight stay. Great sites for big rigs towing. Lots of room. Gravel sites and grass. We arrived after a large day of rain the day before so it was muddy. Very close to the historic Amana Colonies. Nice walk downtown with many shops. Good German dining !
We loved Amana RV park! Our check in was great, friendly, fast and efficient. We were shown to our site and we had forgot an electrical converter and the park allowed us to borrow one. Friendly fast personable people. The park was mowed nicely, we had picnic table and fire ring. I can't say enough good things about the people who helped us get settled at this park. The park is close to Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, of course the Amana's and we drove over to Kalona as well. Very enjoyable. Thank... Read More

The park is a giant field with the RV sites organized in blocks of 16 sites with a center water and electric hookup that services four of the sites. The sites and roads are dirt and gravel and if there is rain, it can be very muddy. Each site has a picnic table on the grass area separating the sites. The park has showers, laundry and community rooms in the center of the park. The wifi worked and the staff was nice during check in.
Very disappointing! No fire rings or picnic table. We were told they were out. Also, our spot had a yard the size of our awning. We pulled into part of the neighbors yard to have a bit more. Staff seemed annoyed to have to check us in. We had to travel a couple hours to get there and I guess their check in office was supposed to close at 7pm. We got there a few minutes before with many others. On a busy weekend like Oktoberfest you think they would expect this. Expensive place for that experience!... Read More

This is the third time to stay here. We have always liked it. The sites are easy to get in and out of. Since this was a big field, there is a shortage of trees but that is OK. They try to space the campers out and leave you lots of privacy. The showers are nice but the shower fausets need to be updated.
I camped here at Amana RV Park April 29, 2016-May 1, 2016. It was very rainy and muddy due to construction of most of the sites being converted to full hookups. Hopefully the next time I camp at Amana RV Park-it won't be as muddy as it was this year. Other than that-I had a lot of fun camping during the Amana MaeiFest weekend. The campground needs to have a couple of cabin rentals added.
We had a great time. The staff was very helpful for any need we had. The Town and area was well worth the trip from In. We be going back some time.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. The park is huge and appears to cater to events and large rallies. The sites are all laid out in rows, size is not an issue, however 1 central post services 4 sites. They appear to distribute campers so you may not have a neighbor until they start to fill. Most sites have 50A, only a few sections have sewer. The dump station can service 4 rigs at once, but the single lane layout could be better. Some picnic tables have new wood, others appear overdue... Read More

The park was nice however, our campsite and the ones around us had not had the grass cut - it was at least 5 to 6 inches tall with lots of weeds. There was not a fire ring at each site. You had to ask. By the time we realized the there was no fire ring at our site, the office was closed. The most of the picnic tables were in need of repair or board replacement. A very quite park. Laundry facilities were very nice and clean.
