To call this a resort is a stretch of the imagination. I'm sure it was once very nice, but is no longer. Good Sam should find another reviewer to inspect this park. Most of the special attractions no longer seem to be functional. The restrooms are a disgrace. In the ladies room, one must walk through one commode area to reach the second - the first has no dividing door. The roads are paved and the pavement is badly broken up. In the ladies room, one must walk through one commode area to reach the second - the first has no dividing door. The roads are paved and the pavement is badly broken up. The sites are paved and the pavement is broken in many sites and they are no longer level. It seems to be a haven for people to leave their campers and visit on occasion. There is a fishing lake and a boat lake - neither is frequented.. Mainly long-term or permanent sites. Is located about 9 miles from Owensboro and going to the city is like entering a totally different world. Many restaurants and shopping areas, several tourist attractions. Near the campground is the Preservation Station which is a large old schoolhouse that is now privately owned and has been converted into an antique shop with multiple vendors that utilize the classrooms. The gym is now a multi-function room that can house special events like weddings. The cafeteria is a restaurant where food is prepared on-site for the visiting public. Would not return to the campground. Would return to Owensboro.
