Salt Bayou Kampground Good Sam Verified Campground

The pool is not filled, the sites by the exit are filled with drug looking trailer trash. The office has been moved to a double wide behind it. When walking in I had to survive the worst cat urine smelling room ever, Cats everywhere, many with runny eyes and of young age. Obviously no spay or neutering being done. Also the mini golf and chess board aren't usable either.

We stayed in our 35' MH in Feb 2018. Pictures on website are from years ago, pool is half full of muddy water, mini golf course is torn and weeds growing from hole cups! The office is in a double wide that the manager lives in .. with her numerous cats and dogs and hasn't been cleaned in years.. feces and urine stains on carpet and the odor hits u when u get close to front door! Laundry room is a cargo container and smells as bad as double wide! There are junk trailers there that need demolished... Read More

Should not be on good sam website! When you check in during the day the home you go to to pay is covered in cat feces and urine!! It is horrendous!!! The front was appealing but the back of the campground looks like a ghetto. Sites flooded terribly in the rain and wE walked in water up to our ankles to the shower rooms. Some tenants were very drunk and were harassing and acting in s threatening matter so we called police . We ended up leaving g early. Very happy to leave

The office is closed, the manager uses her mobile home as the office-it smells like a cat litter box that hasn't been emptied for days. The laundry in is a connex box (shipping container) & is dirty, I wouldn't even put my unwashed clothes on the tables. The water has a brown tint to it. There were only about 10 spaces that are available for RV's, the rest are taken by permanent residents. The spaces are not level and the hook up poles are loose and look like they will fall over in a wind. None of the mentioned amenities are available and look to be in very poor condition. Wi-Fi is barely available, hard to get on & very slow. This should not be a Good Sam Park!!!! We don't know how this park could be improved unless it was taken over by new management and time spent cleaning it up and moving out the permanent residents.

Park is badly maintained and exudes that "trashy" look. Drain was broken and smelled. No cable, but antenna reception was good. Gravel sites. Difficult to maneuver as roads are very narrow with tight corners. Office really smelled like an animal died in there and has never been cleaned. I will never go back.
