Hello, Typically I do not like to write a bad review. However, this campsite was very disappointing. I would have preferred to contact them directly. However, there is not an email address, nor is there a voice mail. We arrived at 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon. The advertised office hours are until 6:00 pm. We did get a phone call around 4:00 that the office was closing early and our check in material would be taped to the door. Upon arrival, we found that our 25 foot water hose would... Read More

We arrived at 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon. The advertised office hours are until 6:00 pm. We did get a phone call around 4:00 that the office was closing early and our check in material would be taped to the door.
Upon arrival, we found that our 25 foot water hose would not reach the water taps. If the office had been open, we would have asked for a new site, but did not want to take that chance as we did not know if other arrivals would come in throughout the night. So we paid for full hook up, but did not have water.
The check in material did not have the wifi password. We run our business on the road and did have material that needed to be emailed tonight, so we walked through the campground asking neighbors for the wifi password.
This is an ok campground but definitely not a 9 on the Good Sam website.

My family has camped there over 30+ years, Same month and weekend, We booked anywhere from 17-20 lots every year. We booked the same lot #s every year, Yes, sometimes we got loud from laughter, or went 10mph instead of 7mph. Were not perfect, (there's over 60 of us)) When the Son and wife took it over, customer service changed. Every year the prices go up. In the last 5-7 years they are Always nit picking on things we did or didn't do right, this year we were asked not to return the next year because... Read More

It didn't matter how hard we tried we couldn't please them. They stopped special activities with the kids, other than the little train ride and wagon ride. They use to do a craft with the kids, bring in the fire dept. Ice cream social, Not any more... they just expect the kids to spend money in there game room or swim in the fish biting lake. They become the not friendly owners and are very rude to the customers, My opinion is they don't like it when groups come in. We have moved on to a better place and making more family memories.

The campground is located directly off of a busy road and adjacent to a major highway, so the road noise is constant and detracts substantially from the appeal of this park. While the restrooms and connectivity were great if you are doing a work-cation the choices of sites with good views are limited and there are no sites that are not subject to the substantial road noise. We have a larger RV and were given a site with a view of the parking lot, so it lacked privacy, but some of our friendly fellow... Read More

This is a great campground for short stays / mid-trip stop overs or for convenience but would not be on our list for peace and quiet. One of the best amenities is the proximity to the White Pine Park Multi-Use Trail... located a short walk or bike away and runs from Cadillac to Grand Rapids... The trail around the lake was great for walking the dogs and many of our fellow campers took advantage of the swimming and fishing.

We found this location very relaxing and really enjoyed our many walks around the lake. Its location near I131 makes visiting the local sites and events a real pleasure. Our Grand kids enjoyed the playground and walks around the lake. We had a pull through and a backin sites both allowed our vehicles to be easily leveled and staff were helpful in helping get the trailor and motorhome oriented on the sites. The fastfood and country style restaurants nearby left us with the feeling of being really... Read More

We stayed here for four nights with our granddaughter and enjoyed it.Everyone we met, even the dogs, were friendly and children of varied ages interacted beautifully. Lakeside has daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal rates. Our site had full hookups. Cabins are available and we saw folks camping in tents. There is a small, spring fed lake with a sandy swimming area. Fishing is permitted and no licence is required. It has a daily limit of three trout or bass per campsite. Canoes, kayaks, rowboats,... There is a small, spring fed lake with a sandy swimming area. Fishing is permitted and no licence is required. It has a daily limit of three trout or bass per campsite. Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, etc. were on the lake. The lavatory/shower is very nice and always immaculate. Inside the park office is a recreation area and a laundry, $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry.
