First of all, this is no longer a Good Sam park. Some of the information on this site is not correct. I would use the title "RESORT" pretty loosely here! There are NO pull through sites. The Wi-Fi is free but the new system installed the beginning of 2016 rarely works correctly if at all. There is NO on site help for Wi-Fi. If this matters to you, this is not your park. Wi-Fi. If this matters to you, this is not your park.
Although this park has a beautiful buildings and a very nice pool, it has problems with retaining help. Grounds often go long periods of time without being mowed. Gravel sites are grown over by grass and weeds and some sites are low causing some RV's to be surrounded by a small lake when it rains hard. The whole place is starting to suffer from lack of maintenance personnel. Our site kept tripping the main 100 Amp breaker during the hot 4th of July weekend angering several people.
Water pressure is good, but very high in mineral content and will plug a water filter in a very short amount of time. Use bottled water if you have an expensive coffee maker.
There are some inconsistencies when things like the pool or lodge close, or if the bounce houses will be inflated or if the tractor ride will be running. Most of these things are done on a volunteer basis, and if there is no one to do the job, it doesn't get done.
Propane is one example. When we were there, there was no one certified to pump it except a seasonal work camper who is only there up to 4:30 M-F. The park will tell you to go down the street to Tractor Supply or Wal-Mart. Firewood is a good value on amount you get, but is stored outside and if it previously rained, its wet.
Rules are enforced inconsistently. you may be told your dog is on the "banned dog list" while someone with the same breed dog gets in. Some campers are told there kids are too rough on the bounce houses and banned from there use.
There is little or no shade as the trees have not reached maturity yet. Its not really a destination, but is good for a few day stay.
We have camped here many times, and plan on not returning until the park is sold or under new management as things keep going down hill.
The best part is its close to the town of Ionia where there are many stores. Other than the pool, there is not much of an adventure to be had.

We had a month's stay at the park. Sites are large & our 40 ft motorhome had ample room as well as our tow vehicle. The park was very clean & the park employees courteous & helpful. We enjoyed walking around the park as well as by the lake. There is a nice pool, basketball court, miniature golf & building for events. We definitely have recommended this park to our friends.
Under prior management, it was a fun place to stay. They no longer accept good Sams, they no longer offer a Sani station for people needing to empty tanks, they offer propane, but only during very limited times when the person is there who can fill it. One thing that surprised me, is if you are planning on staying there over a holiday weekend, you have to pay and stay for the full four days. They will not allow a partial weekend.
