I agree with the previous review. The road coming in wasn't marked to get us to the park so we had to trust the GPS. Winding roads with banked turns will get you there. We visited Elvis Presley's birth place during the day and of course a trip to Walmart to restock some perishables. Back to the Natchez Trace in the morning. This was a good break.
We stayed at Tombigbee state park for one night on our way passing through. This is a fantastic state park, and I would return here in a second! The sites are flat - so much so that I did not have to level my RV either side to side, or even unhook. The sites were good size and fairly easy to back into. The Rangers were friendly and offered to help us back in. The area is VERY shaded, and all the sites had a fire pit and a table. The hookups were at the back, so I did have to use extensions... Right behind our campsite was a great frisbee golf course through the forest! They also had nice playground equipment and a sand volleyball court a short walk away. My kids made loops throught the whole area on their bikes and were quite safe the whole time.
The only negative was the mosquitos! Make sure you spray well when the sun starts to go down. We didn't, so this part of the review is more our fault! Also, be aware the road leading into the park is pretty small. I was a little nervous from Tupelo to the park, but it is quite manageable even with a bigger rig the whole way.
