Wonderful, family and pet friendly park right on the river. Beautifully maintained park with a lot to do. There is river fishing and float trips. They also have two playgrounds, a basketball court and volleyball net, and Frisbee golf course. This was our second stay and we will be back!!!

This is a beautiful campground along the river! The campsites are concrete with patios and there's lots of room between the sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

This is a great park, sites are level, right on the river, it's very quiet and peaceful. We had a HitchHiker rally here, rented Rafts and Canoes one day, then Kayaks another, The float trip was amazing, float 8 miles and end up right at the campground. We'll be back again.

This campground is on the banks of the Niangua River. This portion of the Niangua is downstream of Bennet Spring State Park and Trout Hatchery. This campground is on the banks of the Niangua River. This portion of the Niangua is downstream of Bennet Spring State Park and Trout Hatchery. If you're fortunate enough to fish after a fish release from the park then you're gonna have some fun dude. As for the park, we stayed in a pull through site. The concrete pad was totally level. The picnic table and fire pit are also integrated into the spacious concrete pad. The main road and loops are gravel which was graded out to be very smooth. As this is a fairly new park, the overnight RV section (there's also an extended stay section and a section for tents and pop ups) didn't have any shade trees, yet. They have small dogwood trees planted between all the sites. Once these trees are mature they'll provide ample shade as well as beautiful flowers in the spring. There's a small camp store that provides the basics. They plan on building a larger store...I believe in 2017 but don't hold me to that. The campground is subject to flooding after extended periods of rain (many, many days) so it's wise to call prior to arrival to ensure Mother Nature hasn't spoiled your plans. There's one shower/bath house near the sites furthest from the river which was extremely clean, and heated. It's not too bad of a walk but you should head for it fairly soon after your morning coffee and bacon if you know what I mean (wink, wink). Currently, the only dumpster is at the bath house. We spoke to one of the managers and she realizes this is an inconvenience for campers. I wouldn't be surprised to see more trash receptacles and smokers butt stations positioned around in the near future. Don't let this stop you from staying here though as this is really insignificant. This campground is really laid out well. The roads and sites are plenty wide for even the biggest of rigs. The Niangua River is just beautiful. It runs cold and clear. Oh yeah, you can also book a float trip. We'll be heading back in July to do just that. I know you'll enjoy your stay. We sure did.
