Fishing and Float
Two excellent rivers for trout fishing are located just outside of town, the Yellowstone River and the Stillwater River. The Stillwater River, which joins with the Yellowstone River just outside of Columbus is a great float!

Easy Reservation. Very helpful, friendly staff! (Thanks Bear!!) This park was easy access to/from highway, but pretty quiet considering it's proximity to the interstate. We are 40' long (+ toad), but had no problems accessing and fitting into our site (with room left over). Our site had full-hookups/ 50 amp service (all trouble free), and a nice grassy areas on both sides and shade trees. Three sides of the park are surrounded by nothing but peace & quiet (and wildlife). Absolutely had no concerns... Read More

Absolutely had no concerns about leaving anything outside overnight (no indication from others we spoke with of any trouble either). Sites are gravel, but well maintained and level.
There is some remodeling taking place in the office, laundry, & restrooms, but it doesn't interfere with usage of those facilities and is being done quietly. Newly remodeled restroom looks outstanding!!
We originally intended to stay for just a couple of days, but were allowed to extend our stay to allow more time to get out and explore the area (Thanks again Bear & Danielle!). Lots in the area to see & do. The local town, Columbus, is cute. Grocery store, post office, and 2 hardware stores (handy!). The Yellowstone and Absarokee rivers rivers run right thru the town (about 1/2 mile from the park). Lots of other small towns close by with lots of local events.
All-in-all we had a very pleasant, relaxing, stay, and will definitely stay here again when we pass back through!

When we reserved the site back in April it was confirmed we were to have a 50 amp site. When I confirmed the day of our arrival we were told we would have lot 35. when we arrived we were directed to go to 21. The limbs of the tree were so low we could barely drive in and couldn’t open our sides.when we went to plug in we found out they gave us a 30 amp site, therefore we couldn’t even run one air conditioner plus lights. They were very rude when we complained about the tree (before we found out... Read More

They were very rude when we complained about the tree (before we found out it was a 30 amp site) and said they couldn’t do anything about it as they were closed. Said they would refund us. We left and went to another campsite In Billings. Hopefully they will be good on our refund.

We stayed in early July in a motorhome, the owners are very friendly and were there to help in any way. We were a little reluctant due to the location of the freeway and off ramp but were not bothered by either. After being assigned a spot and noticing the direction we asked if we could possibly park in the opposite direction so we could see the mountains. This was not a problem as long as we used the hookups for our assigned site. We did not use any of the other facilities so are not able to comment... Read More

Expensive and unappealing..dirty campsites, dilapidated trailers, cigarette buts on the grounds, prices were much higher than Good Sam Book listed, owner was grooming the grounds and dust was flying everywhere for 2 hours, very disappointed in this place..
Staff friendly and helpful. Site was clean and well maintained. Easy access. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again when passing through. Thx again!
Was not a fan of this campground, mostly because of the staff and the rundown look of the place. We pulled in late after the office closed, but they left a note on the door with our site number. They also had called a few hours before to verify we were coming. There wasn't a lot of room to maneuver and many of the RVs in the back looked liked they had been there for a while (like years). In the morning, we wanted to get a early start, but needed to pay still. The office sign said 8am, but they... Read More

The office sign said 8am, but they didn't open till 9am and that was after someone came along and put a new sign out at 8:30 saying the summer times was 9am. It was a little late to be changing the time.

Very clean and friendly campground close to I-90. If you are a light sleeper with good hearing, the traffic noise and the occasional train whistle may bother you or hinder your sleep. The noise abated somewhat after midnight, but earplugs were our choice for a good night's sleep. We stayed for 1 night and would again if in the area.
This park is a very pleasant relief from some of the parks I have stayed at on this trip. While sites are gravel as it says, they are pretty level and ours was large enough for our 40ft 5th wheel and our full length pickup. Although I was concerned when I arrived as no one was in the office, it had a sign with my name and site number in the window. The new owners are very helpful and friendly, and had us in a pull through with full hook up as requested ( unlike some parks) While there may not... Read More

While there may not be some of the amenities some families are looking for like pools an playgrounds, for a stopover or base for Billings, it is a perfect RV Park. Very quiet for being this close to the interstate.
Columbus may be larger than your believe, and nearby Laurel even has a Wallmart.
I will be back again.

We had to extend our stay during a very busy time as our AC went out. The very helpful lady in the office was able to juggle reservations around so we could stay in one site. We have stayed here a number of times. Park and restrooms are always very clean. Would recommend this park if you are traveling through.
Stayed for two nights and even though my reservation got lost, they were very accommodating and understanding. Close to highway but still very quiet. Would recommend and definitely would stay here again.
First time we have stayed here. We will definitely stay again on our way through Montana. The lady who checked us in was very pleasant, happy and helpful. The Park was very very clean and neat. The RV pull thrus were long and level. We really appreciate a RV Park that is so neat and clean
