The positives: This campground is located near to Death Valley National Park, which is why we chose to stay here. It has full hook-ups. The sites are easy pull-through and mostly level on gravel. The kids enjoyed seeing the donkeys and goats. The nightly fee is about $30/night, but you get what you pay for as the saying goes. The not so positives: I was told there was a fire ring we could use. I thought that meant at each site. I didn't know that meant a community fire ring at one end of the park.... Read More

The not so positives: I was told there was a fire ring we could use. I thought that meant at each site. I didn't know that meant a community fire ring at one end of the park. The WiFi didn't work. I don't go camping for the WiFi, but other reviews said it was good and it wasn't. We were even at a site with a signal extender and still nothing. I didn't use any of the restrooms or common facilities. The duck pond was gross. There were duck/goose feces everywhere. When we called and asked about the pool being open or cleaned, we were told there wasn't a maintenance person for the pool. Then we saw that the ducks made the pool an extension of their pooping grounds. I wouldn't let my kids swim in the pool.
Don't let the photos fool you on this website. The pool and duck pond don't look that nice and are not well taken care of.
I would not stay here again.

Stayed here for a week, with the Goodsam and the weekly discount, this was easily the best value at any campsite I've stayed at. The sites are all pull through full hookup level and easy in and out. The park is pet friendly with easy access to the open desert west of the park. The convenience store is open 24/7. The restrooms and laundry are inside the hotel and kept in great shape. Each site had a trash can which the staff emptied every morning. Very quite area with beautiful views and dark night... Read More

Far superior to any of the camping inside Death Valley.
Unfortunately the Nearby Ash meadows nature preserve and Death Valley NP were still closed under Corona virus lockdown, however we found plenty of off-road Jeep trails in the area to explore W

The wifi actually works! I work remotely and had back to back stays in which I was told there was reliable wifi and there was not, so I was way behind on work and extremely frustrated. The whole area is a dead zone for wifi and cell service, but this park has wifi AND IT WORKS! (Very weak cell service with Verizon, and nonexistent cell service in most of the area, so don't plan on using your hotspot). There are antennas scattered throughout the park, be sure to get a spot right next to one (I originally... Read More

The sites are easy to get in and out of. It's close to Death Valley and there are ATV trails right from the property that I hiked. The park itself is really no frills, which was perfect for my needs. Since my main goal was to catch up on work, I didn't spend much time in the casino and didn't eat at the restaurants.
The showers too, are no frills but clean and nice (plenty of water pressure). Oh, and the casino is dog friendly!

I am President of the Las Vegas Good Sams RV Club. One of our members booked an outing for our Chapter at this resort for the first time. We had 12 rigs attend. We loved it there and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I had asked about campfires before we arrived and the General Manager had them dig a huge fire pit for our use! It was great. Also, one day we had intended to play some games outside, but the wind came up. They allowed us to come into the lounge/casino area and set up our... Read More

We loved it there and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I had asked about campfires before we arrived and the General Manager had them dig a huge fire pit for our use! It was great. Also, one day we had intended to play some games outside, but the wind came up. They allowed us to come into the lounge/casino area and set up our games on tables in there. How is that for accommodating?
They have a beautiful hotel and casino on the premises along with a convenience store, laundry and shower facilities. They have two restaurants. One is a coffee shop downstairs and the other a Steak House upstairs. About half our group had dinner in the Steakhouse one night and said the food was really good. We had about 17 people attending breakfast on the day of our departure in the coffee shop. The food was great and they managed to serve that many of us all at once very efficiently.
There are areas to hike in and a duck pond. A duck pond out in the middle of the desert! Can you believe it? It is so pretty. Although our group doesn't have ATVs, we were told they had ATV trails that go out into the desert.
As for the RV facility itself. the area is gravel. The sites are huge ! 27 x 60 for back-ins and 27 x 70 for pull-thrus. Parking is a piece of cake. Most of the sites are pull-thrus. The spaces are pretty level, have 30 & 50 amp service, full hook-ups, WiFi and cable. I did not use the shower facility so I can't speak to that.
I am rating the facility at 4 stars rather than 5 only because of the gravel sites rather than cement or blacktop. However, that is not an issue for me personally. It fits with the desert environment. The area was clean and they had trash cans every few sites. Also, because they are out in the desert in a small community, there are no trains or freeway noises to contend with!
We have a 34' 5th wheel, but our group also consists of travel trailers, Class C and Class A rigs. It is definitely Big Rig friendly.
My husband and I actually stayed a few nights in the hotel facility here when we were taking family from Canada to Death Valley several years ago. I remember there were fireplaces in the rooms. Nice.
I would strongly recommend paying them a visit if you are in the area. We intend to bring our group back there, possibly in September.
