This campground should NOT appear in any Good Sam listing. The existing ratings DO NOT relate to the existing situation. I called to see if they had a 50 amp site for 1 night. "Sam" said he had one - "just come in and register". "Sam" was not there when I arrived. I asked for a 50 amp site. They registered me and gave me a 30 amp site. When I complained it soon became apparent that they didn't know the difference between a 30 amp vs. 50 amp site and they did not have a 50 amp site available. They... Read More

We have RV'd for many years and have stayed in many Good Sam parks - this park should not be one! We read the reviews and were warned but since it was only overnight and we were tired, we figured it couldn't be that bad. It was! The facility is dirty, noisy, and I have never seen so much dog poop in one place! I am not exaggerating when I say it was impossible to step out of the camper without stepping in a pile. In fact, we counted 20 piles right outside our door. The park charges $2 for each... Read More

In fact, we counted 20 piles right outside our door. The park charges $2 for each pet but obviously does not enforce a leash or cleanup rule on its permanent residents.
The central park bathroom was closed & out of service so the restrooms are inconveniently located behind the convenience store. At first glance they appeared clean enough, but we did not use them as they are open to the public and totally insecure.
Although advertised, there was no wi-fi or cable.
This is the first review I have ever written and I also plan to submit it as well as a letter to Good Sam as this park needs to be pulled from Good Sam endorsement.

I wish I had read the previous reviews. I agree with all they have said in recent years. The women's bathroom had gobs of red stuff splattered on the floor. The showers had grungy curtains and trash (black bag, razor and more) in them. To top it off, this was the most expensive campground we stayed in during a month-long trip. Good Sam needs to do a surprise evaluation.
This was literally the single most awful RV Park experience we have ever had. I had stayed in this park a number of years ago while on a contract job in Fallon for a couple of months. So when my wife and I needed a place near Carson City for a few days I thought this would be a great option. Originally we were staying in Carson City, but we released our space there for evacuees from the South Tahoe fires to be able to use. I was stunned at the abysmal condition of the park! Originally we were staying in Carson City, but we released our space there for evacuees from the South Tahoe fires to be able to use.
I was stunned at the abysmal condition of the park! There is NO grass - anywhere. Not a blade. Don't expect what their photos show you! There is only dirt, weeds, stickers, and SOCKS! Socks everywhere! We lost count of the dirty socks lying everywhere covered in dirt or leaves. On our site, we found a dirty sock, a ladies purple tank top, and a crushed water bottle. There is literally garbage everywhere on site. There is no one patrolling or cleaning or caring for the park during the day. The same laundry and garbage that was lying around when we got there was still there when we left four days later. Weeds were 2 feet tall in some places - right by RVs! ALL picnic tables are totally unusable and really should be trashed. They are broken and full of splinters. Our broken picnic table was sitting just inches from our neighbor's septic connection.
The bathroom facilities were disgusting! My wife went to the ladies restroom/shower facility in the center of the park just to blow dry her hair. The entry was filthy, the floors were FILTHY, toilet paper was lying everywhere, a toilet was not flushed, the mirrors were filthy, spider webs filled with dead flies in the corner of the windows . . . it was GROSS. The laundry facility was so filthy that my wife drove into Fallon to find a laundromat (and used Frontier which was clean and well run). Plus, only one of two dryers was working and only two of four washing machines were working.
There is a dump at the back of the park - literally a dump with a sign saying $20 to dump here! It is fenced with a chain link fence and is right next to and across from RVs. The maintenance shed for the park LOOKS like a dump. There is a burned out Class A sitting just as you enter the park. Residents of the park (there are many who live in their RVs full time there) say it has been there for as long as they can remember. The dog walk area is literally just dirt. Not a blade of grass.
The manager (not sure if he is the owner) is rude and was very unkind to employees in the little mini mart when I was inside getting ice. The mini mart is actually clean and well stocked and the two people behind the counter were polite and helpful. But their boss is rude to them and to customers.
This park is right on the highway and it is a loud highway 24/7. We actually knew that going in, and that can't really be fixed. You just need to be aware.
DO NOT STAY HERE! There are no good options in Fallon. Stay in Fernley!

Unbelievable. The pictures that they show are a joke. The people are nice but they charged for our small dogs and I didn’t want them outside as it was so dirty and no grass. A poor large dog was under a old truck with no leash and the truck was it’s shade. Looks like a homeless campground on the perimeter. Bucket of cigarette butts outside bathroom. Avoid at all costs & stay at the Walmart. No wifi. They are “working on it”. At least cut the weeds and clean it up a bit.
Don't buy off on the pictures. The appeal is the green grass and the concrete roadways and RV parking spots. The place is in much disrepair.......a MESS. Many of the RV parking spots are with broken or dug-up concrete. In July, there was NO grass...just a bunch of brown weeds. Large park of maybe 70 spaces, marginally lit. It is a park for the most part made up of construction workers and live-in's. Live-in's had free-roam chickens. In our case, they tried to park us in unshaded spots... Read More

In our case, they tried to park us in unshaded spots located out next to the highway. We complained and they moved us to spot 38, which was right next to the restrooms. Handy. Shady, yes. But at 9'ish p.m., there was no water in the showers. Sinks, and toilets had water, but not in the showers.....like they turned it off on a timer, although the same the next morning. We got up, and we got out of there the next morning. The only reason we stayed, was that I had a 40 caliber pistol with me.

Drug addict passed out behind the bathrooms.
When bathrooms were open, disgusting, as there trash, muddy floors and trash can over flowing.
Customer service is extremely rude, extremely. Nevada health department needs to shut them down as there are children living there.
Stay away, just keep driving. I'm disappointed that Good Sam has them listed at all.
There was dead carcasses in the trash bins, the stench was overwhelming.
We camped at Fallon RV Park in our Motorhome.
We expect a refund our $42.00 and I am reporting this to the BBB.

It was extremely hot, too hot to walk our dogs on asphalt or gravel, so we selected this facility because their pictures on GoodSam.com & their website showed concrete pads and grass areas between each sites. Not so! This campground has been run into the ground. Concrete pads are broken and ours had a large deep hole. The grassy area had more weeds than grass and DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE GRASS. We were traveling through Nevada and found Fallon RV park was a Good Sam park. We have always had a very good experience at Good Sam parks so we book a 1 night stay by telephone, Upon checking in we paid $48.64. Went to the assigned spot and the cement RV pad had a large deep hole in the cement. No way. Went back to the grocery store check in area and asked for our money back, she asked if she she could give us a different spot, OK. Get to the 2nd spot and there is a large piece of plyboard... Get to the 2nd spot and there is a large piece of plyboard covering a hole right where we would step out of our RV. I said NO we are getting our money back. Went back to the so called office and asked for a refund. The lady wanted to know why, told her that this RV park is in poor shape and didn't feel like we should stay there. She said she couldn't refund our credit card. Said there is NO REFUNDS. I said I would cancel the transaction with my credit card and left their park. Pictures make the park look like a very nice park. Not so.

We've stayed here numerous times thru the years and each time the place gets worse and the price goes up. Last year the cashier told us they were getting new owners and she hoped things would improve. Clearly they have not! Check in is at the convenience store/gas station which means every time someone buys beer, gas, or more beer (they seem to have a steady stream of customers who just buy beer or cigarettes), your check in is put on hold. This time we waited in line behind 3 retail customers. When our turn came up, she directed us to the side counter and told us she couldn't find our reservation, then realized she was looking at the wrong day. She found us, gave us a card to fill out which took 30 seconds, then we stood there and waited another 5 mins while she sold more beer and vapes to retail customers. We had wifi but no cable and were directed to a space we seem always to get. Now instead of weedy grass, it was grassy weeds with puncture vine in bloom creeping across the crumbling cement pad. Other sites had nothing but dirt or a mixture of weeds 6 inches high! The restroom/showers were clean, but the outside door and entry were so grungy you might not be inclined to step inside! This is about the only game in town and seems to always have a large proportion of long term renters who are less concerned with appearances, which might explain the deteriorating conditions. In the future, we'll likely drive the extra hour to Hawthorne and stay at Whiskey Flats which is meticulously maintained and 2/3 the cost.

Sits on a major highway and is extremely noisy, bathrooms and laundry has not been cleaned in at least a week. 1 of mens toilet was plug up with everything still in it from the day we got here til we left. Will not come back and recommend if you see this place you keep on going
We have stayed here numerous times over the years. It has been a favorite for us. Last year the bathrooms were not clean and this year the men's bathroom is cleaner but the women's bathroom has one working toilet out of three options and the floor is not clean. This RV park used to have clean bathrooms but that has changed. They have raised their prices and also charge for each pet you have. Really only two complaints, the biggest was the road noise and the restrooms was poorly kept. The internet was pretty good. I would try another park if I ever go through there again
We made a reservation to spend one night here. We checked in went to assigned space and we were put in a spot with no grass, dead leaves and debris and under a large tree so we couldn't use our satellite and right by all the trailers that house employees. Had this been the last or only spot we would have understood but there were at least 6 spaces that had grass and clear view for satellite. Free WiFi is a joke, cable tv didn't work, ant piles everywhere, dead leaves, grass needing to be cut... Read More

I wouldn't recommend unfortunately there aren't many choices as Fallon is small town.

Nice and shady, concrete slabs. This is the good part. Bad: no handicap restroom, right on the main road so it is very noisy. Prices are a bit high.
We stayed at Fallon RV Park in our 40' motorhome. It is an easy park to get into and out of and a great stop over park. The sites are concrete and big!
Windy high desert location, don't expect much.
Serviceable for an overnight stay after a long day of driving. No real amenities other than the sites themselves. An on site store open late. They showed a playground on the map but there isn't one. Right on US50 so a bit noisy. But we were so tired we didn't care. The place is clean and the services all worked.
Pretty much agree with the Good Sam ratings. Park was very clean. Our pull thru site was concrete drive thru with gravel for the table area (included a metal picnic table). Wifi was decent, some slow periods, but connectivity was good. If you require 50 amp service, recommend making a reservation as only 5 of the pull thru spaces are wired for 50 amp. Pull thru sites were not particularly shady, but most of the rest of the park spaces are quite shaded. Onsite store and gas pumps is convenient, but... Read More
