According to residents there the original owners really took care of the place but recently sold it about a year ago and since then it's "been going down hill." I really couldn't recommend this place for anything more than a 1 night rest stop. Pros: 1. site was spacious but it was the end site so just the luck of the draw. 2. staff (when in the office) were nice. 3. relatively quiet place and seemed pretty safe Cons: 1. they had to shut the water of x2, the first time they just shut it off without... Pros:
1. site was spacious but it was the end site so just the luck of the draw.
2. staff (when in the office) were nice.
3. relatively quiet place and seemed pretty safe
Cons:
1. they had to shut the water of x2, the first time they just shut it off without telling anyone why/how/when and the second time they sent out an email about 30 minutes prior (because everyone checks their emails on a regular basis)
2. LOTS of permanent residents who don't care at all about the speed limit
3. RV's, cabins and houses all crammed in together, no organization to anything, hard to tell where the park began/ended.
4. 2 washers broke down, apparently they had been down for a bit of the day but no signs were put up so I loaded them with soap and coins only to have to pull everything back out and lug it all to the 2nd laundry site. Informed the front desk who said "oh yeah, I was just about to call someone" and by the end of the night signs had still not been put up on the washers.
5. the pictures of the "store" have to be extremely old because there is no store there, it's a large room with a couple chairs and a small refrigerator with 3 drinks in it.
6. 1 laundry facility had 2 washers and 1 dryer (both washers were down by the time we left) and the 2nd laundry facility had 2 washers and 2 dryers, but one of those dryers were down.
7. Toilets were filthy.

The facilities were top notch, the staff extremely helpful - couldn't ask for a better first time Good Sam campground experience! We didn't use the restrooms but I'm sure they were as clean as the rest of the grounds. We are definitely coming back to visit the pistachio place and the petroglyphs!
Spend 4 nights here, Good sites, no problems on width or length, spacing between sites is good. You may be able to book long term stays with covered sun shields, Some would have no problem with tall rigs. Did not inspect restrooms and laundry. This park is north of town, thereby avoiding congestion on streets to get to the park. Some highway noise & train noise but it didn't bother us. We preferred being somewhat out of town. Has good water pressure. (use pressure reducer)
Nice place, all gravel, spacious sites, most pull thrus. Did not use bathrooms (coronavirus). Would stay again.
We stopped here to see White Sands National Monument on our way back to Florida from Arizona. The staff was friendly and helpful and the campground was clean and all we needed. We have s big, 42 foot, fifth wheel and had no problem getting in and out of the campground and our site. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice park, very clean, friendly staff knowledgeable about the area and local restaurants. Lots of metal art for sale if you are into that. Stayed 3 nights, definitely would return.
ADORABLE! Cute touches in every corner. It's flat and easy to level. Beautiful sunsets with mountains in both directions. It's Alamagordo so expect it to be hot in summer. If you are coming from the east be aware that there is a significant decent from Cloudcroft. If you are not confident in your rig then you need to re-route your trip to come up from El Paso. We traveled with teenagers. There is no weight room/exercise room anymore. The WiFi is not good but I think that's a factor of... Read More

This is a good place to stay to go to White Sands and they will loan you the sliding discs.

VERY CLEAN!!! resttrooms and showers. Owners very friendly and grounds well kept. Picnic tables, bbq's, horseshoes, WiFi. Stayed 3 days and used as a basecanp to explore the area. 2 nice fenced in dog areas. Will return if in the area.
Long spaces with plenty more of room for the truck and 5er. Easy access.
We wanted a campground near White Sands and this was the perfect place to stay. Close to town and about a 15 minute drive to White Sands National Monument. Friendly staff with lots of helpful information. Across the street from a Pistachio Farm that was also fun to visit. Campground was very clean. Looks like they may have many who live here full time but keep it very clean and not cluttered. Only two showers we found and were large well maintained rooms. Very nice people, escorted to site. Very easy in and out in class A towing. All gravel sites, long pull through. Close to highway with some noise. Good stop for an overnight. Some restaurants within 4-5 miles, we ate in. Horse facilities. We would stay here again.
This is a very nice, very clean campground with really good rates. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting the area and would certainly stay again without any hesitation. The staff were friendly and helpful, the sites were large and easily accessible. The dog run was a plus.
This is a basic RV park just on the north side of Alamogordo. Gravel and dirt throughout. Nice spacious sites, full hookups, very weak Wi-Fi, laundry and small exercise room. While we were there we had a period of strong winds which I gather is not unusual for Alamogordo. Resulted in lots of blowing dust. The staff was very nice and helpful. They charge separately for electric for weekly stays. Paid $125 + tax + electric for a week. Electric was $18.50.
The personnel are very nice and helpful. It seems much nicer than the other rv parks in the area. While our stay was uneventful, there are some disturbing factors to think about. First off, the restrooms are clean, but they are nearly inaccessible. The site is all gravel and dirt. The wind brings clouds of dust. There is little lighting at night. If you want to move your picnic table, forget it. They are chained to the ground. The internet is excruciatingly slow, and phone service for AT&T and Sprint... Read More

Very nice. Got there after hours. No problem finding where had to park. All the paper work was ready for us by the door. Spaces well marked and lots of room. Long pull thru sites. So I did not have to unhook for we left in the a.m. Wished we could meet the owners. Short drive to White Sands Park.
Very nice, clean park. Reasonable rates...Free wifi and a fenced dog run. Close to Tularosa and alamagordo..Very friendly staff.
