GREAT stop. Casino had a decent restaurant. Park had two dog parks, easy hookup, convenience store, great clean showers and laundry, and community room with big TV where we watched the Bills game. Excellent park!
Outstanding RV Resort, 10/10/10 dosen't say enough ,the service, the hospitality of the staff is above and beyond. We spent a week there enjoying all Albuquerque had to offer, great location makes it easy see everything but stay away from hustle and bustle. Great views and night skies.
It’s is one of the best RV parks in country it has everything you want, great sites, outstanding facilities and a first class casino. The pool is beautiful and the scenery is amazing,it’s everything you expect from a 10/10/10 park
We stayed here 5 nights, this is a nice park. This park is quiet and clean. The park looks somewhat new and is just starting to need a little bit of repairs, need some blacktop repairs and the pool had a few cracks that needed attention otherwise a real nice park. The park is a bit out from the City, the only thing close is the Casino. We would stay here again and recommend this park to friends.
This place is fantastic for everyone. It has a pool, exercise room (although small, only 3 machines), laundry, pool table, shuffleboard table, pickle ball court and a fully NO Smoking casino. It’s about 15 miles away from Albuquerque, but has a gas station and quick shop. We loved it!
Really enjoyable stay! Super easy check in and the sites are super clean and spacious! Would highly recommend this site.
Route 66 RV resort is our home town favorite. Very clean campground, nice pool, clean restrooms and showers, clean exercise room, just a really nice campground for the money. The concrete pads are level and spacious, they do have a picnic table (a little weathered) and a fire pit/grill. Our choice for those staycations. If staying the night or wondering where to set up base camp for local exploring, I highly recommend this RV resort.
This was our second stay at this park. We stayed 2 nights and 3 days. To convenient off the I-40 just outside of Albuquerque. The park is super clean and the staff friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle to the casino or you can ride your bikes or take your golf cart over. The park is paved throughout and the sites are large and level. The hook ups are all fairly new or maintained well. The facilities are clean and the pool was sparkling blue. We will stay here again for sure. We stayed in a... Read More

A great park! Large clean sites that inclued picnic table and a fire pit. Staff was very helpful including escort to site. Security patrolled frequently. They also ran shuttle service to the casino. (I didn't review the restrooms as we did not use them.)
We were escorted to our pull thru site. The resort was very clean and taken care of. There was plenty of room at the site. It was nice to have the trash picked up every morning. The resort is on the same grounds as the casino and a gas station. We did not use any facilities as we were only there one night.
Another return visit to Route 66 RV Resort with the previous stay for 2 weeks in April 2021. This was our 58th stop. We made a change during the drive to pass on some other parks we looked at online east of Albuquerque- glad we did drive the extra hour plus. As with the previous review, we really enjoyed our short overnight stay.
We made luxury reservations in July for a 7 night stay at Route 66 RV Resort in Albuquerque in September based on the information given in the 2021 Good Sam Guide, that guide rated the park a 10/10/10. Our reservations included two parties traveling together, and we were given consecutive reservation numbers during the telephone process. However, after driving nearly 1500 miles, we learned only one reservation was made for September, the other was for the following July day. Once a site was found for our traveling partners, they would only be allowed a 6 night stay. After consulting with the resort manager, an additional night was found for our partners, although the adjacent sites reserved in July were not to be provided. The manager did reduce the rates for our inconvenience. Unfortunately, and much to our displeasure we watched as the luxury site we thought we reserved for our traveling partners was occupied nightly by motorhomes and trailers. Each of these occupants, 3 or 4 total, spent less days in the luxury site, some only overnight, than the time we had reserved in our July reservations. I urge anyone making reservations at this location to require a written acknowledgment of your reservations prior arriving.
Other aspects of this park that may be helpful to those considering staying.
Although we found the facilities to be high quality, I would dispute the 10 rating for facilities because of the poor placement in the park for both restrooms and laundry. The only laundry (two were noted on the site map, but only one exists) was located at the Administration Building which was near the parks entrance. The sites were generous in size and clean, which meant if a person was to use these facilities you either were lucky in being placed within close walking distance, or you probably would drive to reach them.
Additionally, check-in parking was limited to two or three parking spaces just inside the gate. During our check-in process several rigs were lined up on the road waiting to enter.
For those that want to be "in Albuquerque" when they RV, please take note his resort is 20+ miles from Albuquerque.

My brother-in-law made our reservations (#45930 & #45931) for a one week stay in adjacent "Luxury Pull-Through Sites" by telephone in July 2021. My brother-in-law made our reservations (#45930 & #45931) for a one week stay in adjacent "Luxury Pull-Through Sites" by telephone in July 2021.
After traveling nearly 1500 miles, we arrived on the scheduled date of September 24th and were told that only one site and been reserved.
Accordingly, one of us was assigned to the "Luxury Pull-Through Site" #1122 in the upper most row and the other was assigned to a "Back-In Site" #1210, located in the lower most row, adjacent to the property's back fence. (4 full rows apart from each other and one of the furhest possible sites from the Resort Clubhouse)
During the next week, we observed 3 different shorter staying RV's assigned to the adjacent "Luxury Pull-Through Site" #1120.
I never received the email statement offered to me when checking out on October 1st and then my credit card was charged more than the amount "quoted" by the manager for the reassignment to the "Back-In Site" #1210.
I will say that I did receive a refund after making a phone call to the manager from California.
It is also worth mentioning that this facility is actually located 20 miles west of the City of Albuquerque.

Nice park, a little old but still kept up well. Spaces level, showers were small but clean.
We stayed overnight t this park but have stayed here in the past. Wonderful park with beautiful views - there were horses in the field by the RV resort this time. Some casino restaurants were partially closed due to COVID restrictions in NM but we still enjoyed the supervise resort. The dog wash is one of the best we've seen and the staff is super helpful with site escort, friendly checkin etc. Casino security makes sure it's a ice safe environment. We look forward to staying here again.

Pros:
Lots were level
Concrete Pads
Well kept and clean
Accepts larger rigs
Asphalt drives
Cons:
Pool was closed and said it was due to Covid-19.
Game room foosball table was broken
Game room had nothing in it other than a pool table and you had to go to the office to get the balls and sticks
Gate at front is broken and you have to call the office to let you in...slow and annoying process
Site advertises "Restaurant" but this is only in the Casino and you must be 21 to enter
Site advertises "cocktail lounge" and this was nowhere to be found
Site advertises "exercise room", but there were only 3 machines in it and CLODED due to Covid
Site advertises "hot tub" Never found one...must be with the closed pool
Site advertises "pickle ball". Nets were down and no equipment available when asked
If you are going to be close to a Casino and are not traveling with kids....this could be a great stop. If you have kids of any age or do not plan on visiting the Casino....find another location.

If we only knew the Route 66 Casino and its restaurants were going to be closed to those of us from out-of-State we would not have stayed here. We drove in at 5:45pm to check in. The office staff seemed to be in a hurry and stated the clubhouse was closing in 10 minutes. All the recreational facilities were completely closed (pool, sport courts, etc.) due to Covid. They informed us that the water pressure was at 95 psi and that we should not hook up without our own pressure regulator. They escorted us to our RV site where we were happy to see how big and spread out the sites were. But surprised about how exposed they are in the blowing desert wind with no trees or shade to be seen.
Then looking further I started to question Good Sam's rating. The restroom was clean but nothing spectacular. The showers consisted of a shower stall next to the toilet stalls in the public restroom. No privacy. Not at all what I would call a 10.
So here we are eating leftovers from our fridge, on our own water supply, in the middle of the stark open desert, 15 miles from Albuquerque, wishing we were having fun in that beautiful highrise casino next door. Not a 10/10/10 experience.
It is almost July 2021 and most of the country has opened up post-Covid. But here in New Mexico and especially on lands of tribal nations masks are worn and facilities are restricted. Make your RV reservations with caution. And be wary of the perfect rating. By the looks of all the expensive Class A's I see at this park, I think a lot of others got duped too.

All staff we encountered during our stay were professional and very pleasant especially Carlos, Curtis, and Nicholas. The landscaping was very nice with combination of different color/size stones and plants. And there is an attempt to have grass in the two dog parks as well as some sites - a definite challenge in this climate but much appreciated. And there is an excellent stainless steel dog wash with warm water and a separate large table for drying.
There was ample room at the site with its concrete pad and were situated in such a way that your door did not open at your neighbors rv. The electric/water/sewer hook ups were well done and convenient. The bathrooms were nicely appointed and meticulously clean and a bonus was the availability of coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the activity center. There was a separate bath house and laundry serving the lower portion of the resort (did not use). The internet was good for general surfing and email but don't expect to stream videos, especially at night. And it was nice to see a security car driving through the park throughout the day from the casino - no concerns at all for our safety. A very nice resort and would definitely stay here in the future.

Loved our stay! We had a site along the east side of the park with a large open space between our site and the next site to our south. #1313. Great views of the sunrise and sunset, very quiet, kids loved riding their bikes, playing pickle ball and there is a cute putting green. We felt very secure, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and would gladly stay again.
We stayed at the park for several days. We stayed at two different sites. Both were pull throughs and level. The sites were wide and long. We liked that the sites are not on top of each other and management also did a great job at spreading out the guest across the park. They escort you to the site upon arrival. The casino was only open to New Mexico residents, which was fine because that wasn't part of our plan or reason for being there. There is a nice large gas station / truck stop next to the... There is a nice large gas station / truck stop next to the casino with easy access for RV's (even the regular gas pumps in the front are set up for RV's). The park is located behind the casino and away from I-40. There is absolutely no noise from either at the park. The staff is very attentive to your needs and if you take your trash to the end of your site, they pick it up regularly. If you need propane (which is on the facility) it's best to get it before noon. After noon it might take awhile for them to send someone to fill your tanks.

The casino across the street was basically closed due to Covid restrictions however in other times I can see that as being an attraction that others might appreciate. At $45/night with GS discount it seemed a bit pricey, but I can honestly say that I have paid more and received less value at other resorts, so all in all, I was happy with our choice to stay here. We have a huge dog (Bernese Mt. Dog) and she enjoyed the dog run, but be careful in the heat of summer time with all the new asphalt around, it could get hot on the pup's feet. They have a good amount of amenities that we didn't get to use because we were just passing through, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and heartily recommend this place.

Everything is pretty much immaculate.
Service was VERY friendly and the guy led us right to the lot in his golf cart. Nice and flat. Picnic table. Fire pit. We had lovely weather so sitting out as the sun set was a nice treat.
In the morning, we walked around the whole place, and they really do have excellent amentities, all still in great shape. The pool area (not open) looks very inviting and attractive. The club house, while simple, looked very inviting. A couple of bathhouses around and a couple of dog parks. A big outdoor pavilion with a batch of grills and sinks and loads of tables in case you want to have a big party.
The casino, restaurants and hotel are all closed, of course...but if you were looking for a place to stop and eat at a decent restaurant and do a little gambling...this RV park puts you just a couple hundred yards from the casino doors. Would be fun!

Great place! Staff were friendly, facility was spotless, and stay was quiet! I will be returning here for sure!
This is an actual resort. Everything met expectations. The concrete pads are level and wide. We initially had an electrical pedestal 50 amp receptacle issue and was immediately moved to another site. The driver to the casino was friendly and advised of a good restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic place to stay. First stopped beginning of July then on way back east I cut my travel day short just to stay another night. The staff were fantastic. The only recommendation I would make is to replace the outside lights at the laundry/restroom entrance with bug free lights. They were bad. I would rate 10 stars on everything if I could.
Very clean, organized. Could use an update on the game equipment. Clean the pool table, replace the cues. Small restroom has grout discoloration. Couldn't tell if it was mold or staining.
Stayed 3 days. Would stay again. Top notch campground. Class A. 36ft. Lots of room
Very new and in great condition. Facilities look great. Nice, long spaces. Friendly staff that guides you to your space using a golf cart as a pilot car. Naturally there's a free shuttle to the casino. But it's very pricey.

We were in the "luxury pull thru" sites. All we had was rock. I know that is pretty much standard for this part of the country, but some of the back in sites here did have grass. Seems to me a luxury site could also have grass. All in all, I would highly recommend this RV park and would stay here if in the area again.

Spacious park, easy to find: right behind the Route 66 Casino, which is visible for a long way up and down I-40. Because it's set back there's not a lot of road noise. The office was always helpful. It's about 14 miles west of Albuquerque but that wasn't a bother. They offer a shuttle to various nearby locations; I didn't use it so I can't comment on its quality. All in all, a great experience.
Great place overall. Huge level sites with concrete pads, two dog parks, 24 hour front desk, super clean amenity center with full kitchen, laundry room, computer room and squeaky clean showers. Very convenient to I-40 and just enough west of town that the skies are dark at night and it's quiet. Make a reservation though because the word is getting out about this great park.
Nicest RV park we've ever stayed in. Huge paved parking spots and angled so that your view is not the RV next door which is great here because the view is beautiful. The manager and staff are helpful and friendly. Office is open 24/7. The nicest pool we've ever seen in an RV park and a great casino right next door.
I wish you had more stars for this one. We went for 1 night and stayed 3. The pool was so great. The community house was so great not enough words to describe. All was so clean. The people in the office were so great and very helpful at all times. We will be back to this one for sure.!!!!
Easy in and out once you figure out it is located behind the casino. Large level sites. No shade. Very nice park though and would stay here again.
This park is very well maintained. We intended on staying here for just a night as a pass through but decided on an additional night. If you are expecting a park with tons of grass, old growth trees, and tightly packed RV spaces you need to keep looking. This is the desert portion of NM and their landscaping is primarily decorative rock. There is an entire row or slips with a patch of grass right out your door, but all others have crushed rock. All pads are level concrete and smooth asphalt... Read More

All pads are level concrete and smooth asphalt roads to get you in and out. Some people complained about the highway noise at night, but on my nightly dog walks I could only hear road noise in the West 1/3 of the park. And speaking of dogs, they have two dog parks and both of them have real grass in them.
Laundry and shower facilities were clean, pool looked nice, grounds are well maintained. Trash pick up at 9AM everyday. Staff was very accommodating. Oh and the wide space you get between your neighbors is outstanding! Each slip has its own picnic table and firepit which look like they were just replaced this summer. The place looks almost brand new to be honest. Very beautiful view of the plains and mountains in the distance.

Great resort. Awesome pool! Friendly service and helpful. This is a new RV resort that is rather stark looking today, but once it matures it will be a destination point. We will be staying here every time we travel through the Albuquerque area in the future.
On this visit our primary concern was Internet access. Two other highly rated RV Parks had very tentative Internet access. At Rt 66 this was not the case. Internet access was excellent. Park had a very beautiful pool with an special long winding slide. However, the slide was not operational. Disappointing for the grandkids. Free door-to-door shuttle service to RT 66 Casino or the Rt 66 Pit Stop - Home of the Laguna Burger.
This is the nicest RV Park/Resort I have ever stated in. Facility is brand new. Swimming pool with built in hill side slide, hot tub, wading area for kids, rock water fall, lots of extras. The club house had a full size kitchen, free coffee all day, two computers in a private room, showers, pool table, games, Direct TV, lots of tables, couches, shuffle board, book 4xchange, etc. Dog parks were great. Price was outstanding! You are in the desert so no trees & they are brand new. You get coupons for... Read More

Great park with great facilities! Office is open 24/7. Restrooms and laundry facilities are first-rate. Access to Route 66 Casino and shuttle services to local restaurants are part of amenities. The pool is beautiful and there are lots of things to do without leaving the park. This was a nice break from the ordinary RV park. Wish we could find more parks like this one!
I really enjoyed my stay at this new Campground. The bathrooms and showers are spacious and extremely clean. It is located in the high desert, so don't expect a lot of shade. The sites are level concrete and spacious. Wifi is decent and there are plenty of cable channels. The drawbacks are that it's 18 miles to a grocery store and the restaurants nearby aren't great. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and clearly take pride in this location. They have a new pool & slide going in that looks... Read More

Facilities were nice and clean. The parking spaces were pretty level compared to some sites I been. Route 66 Casino is walking distant but you can call the shuttle. The overall access to the RV lot was very accessible. I will be staying often just to get the camper out.
I can't say enough nice things about this place. Beautiful place to stay. Clean, well maintained, nice recreational area, very pet friendly. They have a couple of fenced areas with grass for pets. The staff are exceptionally friendly. We had a problem with our awning not retracting the day we were leaving and the wind was crazy. It was a Sunday and we couldn't get a service company to come out. The manager and a nice neighbor came to our rescue. It was the manager's day off and he went above and... Read More

New facility. Long and wide spots with good distance between spots. Great staff that takes pride in the facility. Every area clean. Good access to the city and shopping.
Brand new park. Paved pad for Rv, black top roads. Extremely clean. Many sites. Pull-in site large enough to leave tow car hooked up. Not crowded. Very friendly staff excellent facilities. Very happy here. Will stop again on way home.
