It's a good spot to stay overnight if you are traveling through Charlotte. This campground is quiet, clean, and close to everything. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are immaculate. I highly recommend it and would gladly return.
We stayed here overnite to break up our trip. It is better than a Walmart parking lot. Showers/bathrooms are BIG, were very clean but little used because it was at least a quarter mile walk from our campsite near the entrance. On arrival the circuit breakers at the site were broken and their suggestion that we wait around for someone to look at it was very poorly recieved by us after driving for hours. It is a big parking lot with bright lights and lots of hiway road noise but water/electric and... Read More

Camping World Resort at the Charlotte Motor Speedway was the 54th park. It is a large park that is great if you are a race fan (drag strip, dirt track and Charlotte Motor Speedway) all within walking distance – remember this when trying to book during an event period. You are also close to I-85 and a large mall area. We stayed here for 13 nights to deal with a family emergency and all in all, found it to be decent. We stayed in a smaller section next to a pond with trees and immediately next to the Camping World. If you are sensitive to road noise, this may not be the place for you but it did not bother us. In fact, there is a practice session going on right now at the speedway. The inner roads are paved and the pads are gravel – had the most challenge leveling here than any park so far. They have an excellent and large dog park with grass and many places to walk the dogs. We did not use the bath house but looked to be nice and saw them cleaning it daily. There was trash pick up Monday-Friday. In terms of utilities, they worked well. There is no cable tv but you can access a number of channels on the antennae from Charlotte. The speeds for connectivity mod-afterwards when there are few people in the park was as follows: Verizon. 57.8 down, 11.6 up. WiFi 5.7 down, 1.5 up. T-Mobile 36.4 down an 3.1 up. On their materials, they indicate they have intermittent issues with their WiFi. We had some WiFi but it is definitely not for streaming. And contrary to other reviews, we did not see a plethora of contractors or longer term residents. And those that we encountered, were respectful and did not party all night long. All in all, a good stop when we made last minute reservations. But naming it a resort? Nope. It is a campground.

Calling this place a resort is a bit of a stretch. It's primarily a trailer park. Most people appear to be living in the campground and go to work every day. 3 washers and 3 dryers for over 400 campsites. All gravel, no grass. That being said, it's fairly clean, has full hookups including cable and garbage pickup from site (except weekends)
Was a great stay as usual, will definitely be back again.
Stayed during covid 19 social distancing in place easy virtual checking easy. Excellent location
Nice park, easy access, quiet. The only issue is direction signs for travel on some rows are backward. I would stay again when in the area.
Due to the Coronavirus restrictions we were unable to see the store and restrooms, but it looked clean from the outside. Lots were large and level with plenty of space between campers. The only complaint is the camper next to the dog park had 5 dogs and they didn't always pick up the poop. They had fish tanks on the picnic table and it was trashy around their camper. This was in lot Z. We did enjoy our stay though and would go again.
Because of the virus, the campground was almost empty. This campground serves the Charlotte Motor Speedway. I was there because I had just traded campers and I wanted to test the new camper. Good things, lots of pull thurs for people who are backing challenged. Good bath facilities, a little far away, but clean and designed to support a large number of campers. Very clean and the sites are very level. Even with the office closed for virus, the email response to reserve and pay for a site was... Read More

Even with the office closed for virus, the email response to reserve and pay for a site was excellent. I messed up my own reservation, and they fixed it with no effort.
well maintained, trash pick up at the site each morning.
A camping world within walking distance for parts. lots of restaurants in the area.
if visiting Charlotte NC, and excellent place to stay,
one improvement. plant some trees or hedges

Well layed out, very friendly staff conveniently located
We came to this campground because we were having an electrical issue with our motorhome. We were nicely surprised to find the very wide, spacious, graveled and level sites. Each site has a metal, plastic coated nice sturdy picnic tables. The staff are very nice and helpful. There's a playground and laundry facilities we did not use the restrooms. If you love racing than this place is perfect for you. You are just outside the track. You need to turn in at the dragstrip for the entrance. Only would stay here again if attending a race otherwise I would find somewhere else with some shade as there isnt any here. No cable TV and not much by antenna. Most of the race shops are in Mooresville so if you want to visit them you may want to camp closer to the race shops. They were cool for sure.
Nice campground with nice sites. We had a back in that was plenty big enough for our 35ft TT with slide. Staff great and friendly. Great location for speedway and other attractions. Plenty to see and do. We will go there again. Very reasonably priced. Easy to get to. Stayed there for 4 days.
