Very run down and unkept. More of a long term trailer park then campground. We were given a very tight site that we couldn't even extend our awning. Most spots look hard to get into. Pictures on their site must be from at least 20 years ago. We only saw one area of grass. (Not by sites) mostly dirt and gravel. My dog was not happy. Lol. Would not stay here again
Overall 1 star which is probably even a stretch. Thursday we drove an hour to check in at lake Myers for a trip we scheduled back in June. When booking I specified our camper was 36ft with 3 slides and was told ok great we definitely have a spot and I paid the deposit. Upon arrival they put us in a 15ft pop up sight. When I called the lady at the front desk assuming she is the manager said well I don’t think we have anything else and proceeded to argue that it wasn’t there fault because evidently... Read More

Ok not my problem that you employ people that know nothing about your campground. Also the swimming pool was closed and the slide advertised on their websites has very clearly been closed for at least 3-5 years judging by the growth over it. The place was a total dump. We would’ve done better parking at a land field for the weekend. Luckily we went down the street to Midway who took excellent care of us and was 5 stars for sure!

We had been wanting to give Good Sam campgrounds another try after a great experience at the start of the summer at Greenbriar in the Smokies....unfortunately, this was not the best experience. The office was clean, and the staff were helpful, but - after finding our own way to the first site, and it being backwards (hookups on the left side and backing in the only option) and branches hanging so low that we would be scratching the trailer. The staff said "you need to pull through" - which made... Read More

The staff said "you need to pull through" - which made no sense (there was a fence at the other end of the site). So, they moved us, we thanked them and the 2nd site was even worse. 2 permanent residents, on either side and both had so much junk overflowing from their sites to ours! lawn mowers, pots, plants, toys, garbage, random items. That site also had a steep dropoff at one end -- and was so unlevel, no amount of blocks would have sorted it out. We got in the car, pulled up the KOA app and found one just down the road, clean, friendly, spotless pool, level, tons of grass along one side and some room from the neighbors on the other. 71 days into our summer adventure traveling across the country and back, so many campgrounds - this was the only one we bailed on.

Our stay was disappointing. Because I am a high-risk individual for COVID-19, I was excited to take our RV on its maiden voyage. It was my first time out of the house in months. We just went for a quick overnight. After receiving information about completing registration online and going straight to our campsite, we were told we indeed needed to go to the office. The office was small, crowded and employees were NOT wearing masks. There was trash on our campsite when we arrived. We went on a walk... Read More

Although we did not go far, the facilities we saw were not well kept. Most campgrounds were full-time residents or maybe seasonal guests so the campsites were filled with personal items. NO ONE wore masks and I could see almost no social distancing. We spent the rest of our stay in our RV.

We are staying at lake Myers in Mocksville NC 6/14 - 6/17-18. So far no complaints. Yes, the roads are narrow and there are a lot of full time permanent campers. The pool, game room, horseshoe pits and lake are fabulous! We are in spot A23 and it is great! We are close to all the amenities and have a new fire ring and massive backyard. Again no complaints! It is 10 minuets from to rv dealerships and diesel is cheap here. We love it!
