Very nice staff, beautiful views of surrounding mountains and the park's lake. Sites were easy to get in and out, reasonably level, very clean. The park was quiet, and there's a nice stream and lots of places to walk.

We stayed here for 5 nights in October, and we did add an additional night to our stay. Over all the campground was nice. They had a newer playground for younger kids, and a new GaGa Ball pit that my son loved. They had a nice lake for fishing, and there was also a stream you could fish in with a fishing license. The employees were friendly and helpful, they had bike rentals, and a nicely stocked camp store, although bait and milk were the only things we actually needed to purchase from there. The... The sites not on the river were small, and very close together. When we got there, our neighbors had a slide out that was hanging over our fire pit. Thankfully, when we explained it to the office, they allowed us to move it, however that put us right on top of our neighbors behind us. We were also able to sit in our trailer (not very well insulated, we learned) and hear clearly the entire conversation of our neighbors as they were sitting right next to our trailer as well. Then there were train tracks. Every night there was an 8:30ish train, an 11pm ish train and finally one at 1:30am. Every night. I am a heavy sleeper, but there were a few nights the 1:30am train would wake me up. My husband woke up every night as he is a lighter sleeper. There was a train crossing right across from the entrance to the KOA, so the whistle blew loudly every time. I did not use the shower stall on our stay, but I did use the restroom, and it was adequate. There was only one shower stall in the women's restroom, though. We did not feel the need to rush out of the campground, and we even added an extra night, even after knowing about the trains. When we travel that way again, I will look at other options first. If the sites were bigger, I would be able to rate this place higher, and probably stay again. We just like a little more space

This was our first just camping experience in our new to us motor home. we booked for 2 days and put a hold on a 3rd which we did stay also for.We had rented a Cruise America RV for trip to MI. We had planed to go all the way to the ocean, but decided to keep closer to home. Since we live less than an hour away, we chose here. A wise decision and choice. We quickly figured out all we forgot, and made several trips to the camp store. We are planing a 2nd trip in Sept for 3 days. A pleasant experience.... Read More

I know another camper we met had an issue with a nearby train, of which my family ran to take pictures of.
