The campground was very quiet since we were there before the holiday weekend. Our pull-through site had a fire ring and picnic table, and the water pressure was great! The site was not quite level tho ( we leaned to the right a bit) The pool area was nice and well kept, no broken chairs or cracks in the concrete. I would not want to take the paddle boat out in it for fear stuff getting tangled in the paddles. You can see they try to have nice flower gardens, but they need to be weeded and taken care of better. The "billiards" room was small, smelled like stale cigarette smoke and had spider webs all around. The pay pool table is old and dirty and there was only one que stick that was sort of usable ( none of them had a tip). The "gym" was a joke. The inside of the building smelled like years and years of built-up filth! The machines were dirty and dusty. We did not use the restrooms or showers so I do not know how clean they were. The laundry room was small but well kept ( $1.50 for washer and $1.00 for dryer) and they had a small "library" where you could borrow a book while you are there. The snack bar and restaurant were not open while were there so not sure how the food is. We enjoyed the peace and quite (except for the occasional train), the pretty lake setting and the pool, but the campground needs some updates to their buildings and grounds and activity equipment. There is no internet or cable and cell reception was only in certain areas, but we did get a few tv channels over the antenna. We would probable not stay here again by choice.
