We camped at Lake Carl Blackwell one night during the last week of September 2019. We made same-day reservations while driving to the park. This may be ok for a mid-week stop in late September but it would be wise to make advanced reservations during the summer months. This place is very popular and will be busy. All areas appeared to be very well taken care of and maintained. For $25 we had a campsite with 30 amp electric and water close to the lake. We did not see a dump site in the area, perhaps we just missed it. The roads in the park and our camp pad was all hard surfaced. Although not level, I was able to level our motorhome. There are acres of grass and playgrounds for kids and deer that come out at night to entertain. This campground was a great find for us. I recommend it strongly. We'll be back the next time we are in this part of Oklahoma.
