The facility is in excellent condition and the restrooms/showers are clean. We stayed in the front row and looked out the window at the river and wildlife. The park is dog friendly as are the owners and the camp hosts. When we travel to or in Oregon this will be one of our go to places.

Stayed two nights in site #19 with 35' class A with toad. Site was long, level gravel with good hookups. Close to visit Crater Lake. Very clean, well maintained little park. Super quiet and staff was very friendly. Nice river running by. Shout out to Thai Orchid Restaurant in nearby Klamath Falls. Absolutely the best Thai food I have ever had. Will stay here again when passing through.

We stayed 3 nights in our Class A RV in mid October and had a great time. Some of the spaces are a little tight and others have limited septic hookups, but they have an easy dump station on the way out. We conveniently visited Crater Lake and Klamath Falls and our labrador retriever loved the river and "dog" island. Camping neighbors were catching rainbow trout. This is a great little country stopover with very friendly and helpful staff.

Great place to stay between Crater Lake and Klamath Falls. Allowing our dogs play on the island and in the river was great fun for them. The sites and facilities were well maintained and in great shape.

We were here twice. The first time in May 2022, we enjoyed it, although the full service spots are very close together. If you can do without full hookup while you're here, the best spots are by the river and look lovely. The restrooms and showers are nice and are clean. However, the second time we were her in August 2022, it was horrible. We were in Site 20 (DO NOT let them put you in this site. It was like living in the middle of the road, particularly as RVs were coming in and out. Sunday morning was a total disaster with 3 diesel pickups trying to idling as one tried to get into their parking place and a second with a trailer tried to make it around the corner by our site. In the middle of this mess, the maintenance guy roared through in his green cart. When we complained, they did offer to move us to another site, but since we were leaving the next day, we declined. The woman who spoke with us didn't seem at all sympathetic to our complaint and walked away mid-conversation muttering she'd give us a one-night refund. We still haven't seen it. For the right people this can be a wonderful park. For us this second stay was sheer misery.

We stayed in full hookup pull through site #12 for four nights and it was very comfortable. The electrical post had 30 and 50 amp plugs so we were able to run 2 air conditioners on several 100+ degree days. Very nice! This campground is right next to the Williamson river. We took our beach chairs down and placed them in the water to stay cool. It worked like a charm! Excellent bathrooms with very large showers. The free campground wifi worked at our site and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone... Read More

We did the Highway 138 scenic drive based on her recommendation. Our favorite stops were Toketee and Watson falls. Crater Lake National Park is about an hour away and it is a must see as well. Overall this was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Tracy!

Charming and rustic campground with very nicely remodeled and extremely CLEAN restrooms. Reasonably priced and perfect location for visiting Crater Lake NP!

We had booked this campground simply because it was on our route. We use GS for most of our road trip bookings, but are inclined to not book at one of the top listed sites just so we can stay a little off the beaten path....and boy did we luck out at Water Wheel! We use GS for most of our road trip bookings, but are inclined to not book at one of the top listed sites just so we can stay a little off the beaten path....and boy did we luck out at Water Wheel! Small, quiet campground right on a small but fast-flowing river with the most extraordinary bird watching ever! We brought our chairs river side and sat for hours watching fish jumping, bald eagles, adult and juvenile, many types of ducks, small race Canada geese, a blue heron, swifts, blackbirds, to name a few, but the real eye-opener was a huge osprey! Thank goodness for our bird books and the internet to identify so many birds! We didn't have our kayak with us, but it would be a great thing to have/use on this little river. The location was very convenient, far enough off the highway so car noise wasn't intrusive at all gorgeous views of snow-covered mountains level gravel sites with grass verges pull throughs with full services, back-ins with water/electricity but well set up dump station on site close to Klamath Falls for a market run. We did not visit any other facilities while there, so cannot comment on them. And to cap it all off, the camp personnel were excellent: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We spent only 2 nights, but it was a wonderful experience!

Spent overnight at this park. Pro's: pull thru sites overlooking the Williams river with lots of waterfowl good wifi quiet location, friendly staff. Never used restrooms. Cons: (very minor issues), dirt/gravel sites a bit unlevel, big rigs and long trailers, be careful entering park to stay to the far left side of road in order to make sharp right turn turn to front of office

Stayed for 5 nights during the fires. Staff was great and very helpful. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean and up to date. Loved staying so close to the river. I'll be staying again next time I fish in the area.

Beautiful spot on the river with level gravel sites and a nice atmosphere. The only drawback for us was the wi-fi ... there was none at the sites. Cell coverage was fine and our Winegard Connect 2 gave us good Internet thru ATT, but it is more costly that way. Not all sites have a sewer connection, but they have a dump available near the office to use coming in or going out. All in all a nice place to stay any time.

I hate to fuss about RV parks especially when the staff is super busy and most of them doing thier best in a stressful environment. However, after our experience I want to make sure what happened to us does not happen to anyone else. This happened at Water Wheel RV Park in Chiloquin, OR. I hate to fuss about RV parks especially when the staff is super busy and most of them doing thier best in a stressful environment. When we decide where to stay, we look at information from five different apps plus online information and reviews this park was rated well. However, after our experience I want to make sure what happened to us does not happen to anyone else. This happened at Water Wheel RV Park in Chiloquin, OR. Very tight sites some can't even open their awning. Some sites share electrical poles. Some sites have gravel, others grass and dirt and not very level. No big deal. Some nice shade. We never stay more than two nights without full hookups our tanks are small. We made a reservation for 3 nights but were not told our site wasn't full hookups. When we checked in we found out and were told there was no way I wasn't told during the reservation phone call. I even checked my notes to be sure. Plus, no other full hook up sites open in the area that we found. Ok, no big deal. Then, we started having power issues. We were told that site sometimes reacts that way especially with surge protectors. I think we all understand that means the power fluxuates drastically. But the camp host acted like the surge protector was the problem. Not real bright. Our power went out if we ran the microwave while the A/C was running. So we were very careful after that. Now our inverter is not working and the A/C unit acting strange. We ran our generator to see if it corrected but the inverter still will not come on. Today we have driven for three hours + still no sign of life. Who knows what else is damaged. The staff and owner know this site and apparently others have electrical issues. Not making that known ahead if time shows profound lack of integrity. Then, I told the camp host I thought it was super messed up to be renting that site and the others without telling people. He responded in a very ignorant and rude way that I am mistaken, and they need not tell anyone because the owner is aware some people have problems some don't. I bet they ALL do later but don't connect the dots! My husband is an engineer this man and aparently others have no clue the damage that can cause. Expensive damage. Before we hooked up here we had no problems. Thank God for the surge protector and when we figure out exactly what has happened to the inverter and A/C, we will decide how to proceed. Further, we were told the wifi only works at a few sites. No problem, we can just go to the office and download our email or whatever. We could not see the connection from our site or any others as we walked around and only when near the office porch did it show up. Right on the front porch download was .84 Mbps and upload 1.23 Mbps. We expect streaming issues but not simple data. I tried with both ipad and phone and finally gave up. Advertising wifi that does not even work for data, not mentioning the lack of sewer connection, and more importantly renting sites with known property damaging electrical connections is unethical IMO. The female camp host did her best to offer solutions but there were no other sites available. While the bathrooms and laundry were the cleanest we have seen and the river beautiful, I cannot recommend this RV park to anyone.

What a great place to stay! Very quiet and everyone was very friendly. Right on the Williamson River. About 40 minutes from Crater Lake, however it was a beautiful driver there! Also not too far from Klamath Falls.

We camped at the Waterwheel RV park for one night the third week of September 2018. We arrived about an hour before the RV park's published check-in time but decided to ask about getting parked early since the campground was only about half full when we pulled in. We arrived about an hour before the RV park's published check-in time but decided to ask about getting parked early since the campground was only about half full when we pulled in. The owner or on-site manager I spoke with behind the desk was a bit upset and grumpy about my request to check in before "check-in time". After letting me know what she thought about early check-ins, she relented and allowed me in. It was easy to maneuver my 5th wheel trailer through the park and into our campsite. The campsite was nearly flat and had water, sewer and 50 amp electric for $37.80 (with a Good Sam discount). There are trees in the park, however our site didn't get much afternoon shade. If you can, you may want to ask for sites #13-15 if you want some afternoon shade while camping here. The Waterwheel is nice park with a lot of grassy areas to walk you dogs. It's located right on the picturesque Williamson River. We saw fishermen drifting down the river during our stop, it must be a good fishing river. The park was very quiet overnight. The RV Park is showing some age but is reasonably well maintained. They have a very nice clean shower/bath house and laundry facilities on site. This RV park is in a great location if you are here to visit Crater Lake National Park which is a beautiful 37 mile drive away. The RV park is located across the highway from a casino with fuel available very convenient. The only real negative at he Waterwheel RV Park that I experienced was the grumpy owner/manager I encountered during check in. I'm sure next time she would be in a much better mood. Given that, I would stay here next time through this part of Oregon.

We did not have internet or TV, but the scenic spot doesn't call for it. Roads and spaces are gravel, with good spacing and shade. There are tent spaces on a small island near the river. Very tranquil setting, although fairly near Hiway 97. We stayed in a travel trailer. We went back for a second night on the way home.

We visited 17 RV parks on this trip and this was our favorite. We stayed a week and wanted to stay longer. The area around the park is filled with history and then there's Crater Lake! Some great fishing on the river that runs next to the park. We just loved the lady managing the park. We'll be back!

A beautiful site alongside the Williamson River. Gravel sites that are level and very well maintained. The site is immaculate, with brand new restrooms and laundry. The lady running it is very helpful and has a great deal of local knowledge. We really enjoyed our stay and the view of the river is perfect.
