I really liked the location of this campground. It was wooded and the site was a nice size with a cement pad and a picnic table. It was right across the street from the lake which provided excellent sunsets. The only drawback was the WiFi. They can only sell 20 passwords at $3.00 a piece and I was told they only work near the office and that if I needed internet I could go to the pizza place across the street. They do have movies that you can rent but there are no other options for entertainment. Read More

What a beautiful area of the country ! We enjoyed visiting Crater Lake from here - definitely a must see. This park and their staff were friendly and helpful from check in and throughout. The park is part of the Resort and we really enjoyed visiting Diamond Lake with an incredible mountain view. We would definitely stay here again.
We were there one night and toured Crater Lake the next morning. The facility is well conceived and quite clean. The staff pleasant and well organized. The sites are gravel and most appear to be level. Our site was significantly uphill, though we decided to simply live with it for the one night. You must be prepared to be out of touch while there, unless you have a good cell phone to wi-fi setup. There is no wi-fi and cell coverage is too weak for our phones to connect (ATT) Our Winegard Connect... Read More

Overall a worthy RV park.

We booked for one week stay. The location is close to Crater Lake as noted on their website. We had several issues. We arrived on Sunday June 30th, the site was maybe ª full at the most. Pretty empty. We felt that we were treated differently because we booked a stay there for seven days. We will not stay there again. 1. 1. The website instructs you to NOT use their address, they give you GPS coordinates, we found that there was to many numbers with the N coordinates, it took us about 13 miles past the resort and to a forest service road. When I pointed it out to the office staff, they asked if I followed the directions on the confirmation e-mail they sent. There isn't any directions on the confirmation.
2. The site we were assigned W30, was interesting, the trailer space itself was level and that is about the only place it was level. The concrete pad was at the front of the space and due to a large tree, it was small, not rectangular compared to other sites.
3. I asked if we could be moved to another site, as our site was not level. The manager came out and I explained that our site was not level and could we be moved to another site. She said NO because we had a week booked and that they were full for the week and no one who has stayed there has never complained. (They did not fill up until the evening of July 3). Most of the trailers around us were there for one to two days.
4. Our sewer connection at the site was elevated. When we said something to the people in the golf carts, one person responded that the site was built 50 years ago. Husband had to be creative to get a down flow. A few days later one of the resort employees took a look at it and said that he had never seen any other site with the connection that was not level with the ground.
5. Our second night there, husband started a campfire and had cooked some brats on the grill and brought them into the trailer. Less than five minutes later, a person on the golf cart knocked on the door and told us not to leave our campfire unattended. Husband explained that he just brought the food in and was going back out. During our week there, people all around our space let their fires unattended for the night and we never saw any employees go over and speak to them.

Stayed here after visiting Crater Lake. Read other reviews and found staff to be very helpful. Turning vehicle off while waiting was because exhaust gets in the office. I can understand that. Escorted us to site and made sure all was satisfactory. We had no problem with the rules! Would stay here again. Minutes from Crater Lake.
The ladies in the office were nice but the men working outside, which was the first impression were not very nice. In fact they were rude. We won't go there again!
I read the other reviews. The camp has three couples serving as hosts/attendants. They have a very efficient (structured) method for checking in campers. On fellow takes his "job" a little more seriously and is a bit gruff and is definitely rule orientated. This is mitigated by the others host. "Gruffy" is not a dog person, but, when you get to know him, can become a teddy bear. The camp is clean, When a camper leaves. Some one comes by, cleans up. They even check, the fire pits and will... They even check, the fire pits and will remove and dispose of unburned material. One bathroom was closed, the other was very clean. The Pull thru RV spots where we stayed were not level. I chose to pull the trailer forward, Unhook my truck and parked in back of the trailer. The site had full hooks-up but their location is not very well designed. For example if I parked my trailer in the back instead of the front, My sewer connection would be flowing uphill. The Neighbors Power Connection was located close to our picnic table and we had to step over it to get around. No Wi-fi, No Cable, No TV Reception. Only Verizion cell service. This park is close to Crater lake and lots of hiking opportunities. It has a paved 10 mile bike loop around Diamond Lake. If you are a fisherman, this is a place to stay. Diamond lake resort has a Fishing Guide Service $80 per person. Every one who used the service in the week we stayed, limited out. Several of the Park campers that we talked to caught lots of fish on their own. You stay here for the location. Not for the amenities

This is a campground not a fancy RV resort. No tv,no wifi big mosquitos. Nice sized sites. Only 4 miles to Crater lake park entrance which is why we were there. If you enjoy peace and quiet, the moon and stars and want to see crater lake, this is the place!
I thought the staff was very friendly, even wrote down the license plate number for us. The office staff was very friendly too and helped with direction. They even escorted you to your space with a golf cart. Diamond Lake is beautiful and very close to the amazing Crater Lake. I loved it here.
All was good until I arrived, I stopped approximately 30 ft. from there office stop sign as a pickup was parked in front. As I got out of my vehicle to walk to the office I was commanded to pull up closer, when I said it was OK I can walk up, I was again (in loud voice) commanded to pull up to him, got in and with plenty of animated hand signals stopped where commanded by double fist halt sign. I opened my door to go to the office when again I was loudly commanded to SHUT OFF truck. I stood their... Read More

I walked by and proceeded to office where I was greeted by a pleasant woman and followed in by a loud mouth DI (Drill Instructor) wannabe. All of the staff, other than the gentleman with command issues were, very pleasant.
The campground was somewhat spartan however it is very quite.
to sum up now that we have seen Crater Lake, there is no way I would return to Diamond Lake RV.

We did not have a good visit. It started upon arrival. When we arrived I was having stomach issues and need to use a bathroom immediately. The person who greeted us announced to half the camp ground that "evidently she needs to use the bathroom first". I guess I could have left a mess in the office instead. While we were setting up the camp gestapo drove by. I had dropped our dogs leash for a moment to help my husband and received a lecture from the same person. Our dog will not leave our... Read More

While we were setting up the camp gestapo drove by. I had dropped our dogs leash for a moment to help my husband and received a lecture from the same person. Our dog will not leave our sides so he was not going anywhere. I understand there are rules for a reason, but the situation was under control. Also, I watched this person yell at a pickup driver about the 5 mile per hour speed limit. Again, I understand the rules and truly appreciate the low speed limit, however, maybe these people running around in the gold carts policing everyone, should also follow the speed limit. Most times they were exceeding it. This is not enjoyable park to stay in. Only one shower in the women's bathroom had hot water. I will return to Diamond Lake, but will never return to this camp.

Beautiful location. Great staff. Lovely large sites in woody settings with fire pits and full hook ups. Lots of friendly people. We did not have Wifi the week we were there, made it difficult to manage work and responsibilities. Pads are not very level, so be prepared for that. Restrooms are very busy and get heavy use.
