This park is ok for short term if you are looking for a parking spot while seeing the Portland area. We stayed for 5 weeks due to family needs. The staff is nice. The sites are good size, the roads are paved and in good shape. They do give the Good Sam discount of 10% on the weekly rate which makes it one of the lowest priced in the area. The park is not hard to get to off of I-5. We were able to receive Amazon packages and USPS package delivery to the office while there. Most of the sites are... Read More

Most of the sites are permanent residents and most are well kept.
The reason for the low rating:
NE Marine drive is very busy with all types of vehicles and the park is in the flight path for the Portland airport which can have many flights (commercial and military) day and night.
There is no pool or any green space other than a dog park in the back of the park.
They are not watering the sites so only the weeds are growing and they were only mowed once while we were there. They have planted new bushes in some sites but with no watering those are dying. There are minimal trees with none providing any useful shade.
They charge $50 for water usage if you have your rig washed.
We did not utilize the restrooms or laundry so no input on those. I am pretty sure that is what Good Sam looks at so that is why this park is rated so high.
As stated, it is good for a parking spot, but not much else. I was expecting a nicer place because it has a 9-9.5 Good Sam rating.

AVOID COLUMBIA RIVER RV IN PORTLAND AT ALL COSTS!!! This RV park is the noisiest, cramped, no amenities RV park we have come across! It was a horrible experience from day one to day four. So much so we left 4 days early. When they say "close to airport" what they mean is under the flight path and flights going out all day and all night. Sleep was near impossible between the noise from the airport, hearing everything from the rigs next to us, to people moving around all hours of the night... Read More

Sleep was near impossible between the noise from the airport, hearing everything from the rigs next to us, to people moving around all hours of the night in the park. The surrounding noise pollution was extreme. Theft is a problem as there is a homeless encampment on the main road about a mile away. First night we were there, our neighbor across from us has their bikes stolen. No security, easy access for anyone to come in and out. There are notices everywhere, that they will fine you on just about everything.. Dogs peeing on shrubs, using hair color in the bathroom, dumping trash and on an on. There are no picnic tables at the sites, and no where in the grounds where you can sit comfortably outside, the showers were OK, but almost no water pressure. We expressed our concern and asked if we could be refunded for the nights we had left. Nope... absolutely not! It appears Columbia River RV is not at all concerned for your comfort or your belongings safety. only money, money, money. Be are full time RV-ers and this was absolutely the worst experience we have had in a park and a complete disappointment and waste of money.

This is a relatively large park with a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. Driveways are asphalt and site pads are concrete. Driveways and site pads are in good condition. There seems to be a large number long-term residents. Overall, I would give high marks to the condition of the park facilities and the landscaping. We were in what appears to be a newer section. The sites were a little narrow. We had to squeeze past the shrubs to get around the perimeter of the motorhome. We had full... Read More

There is free WiFi which was generally OK, I would rate it 7 out of 10. Restrooms and laundry were in good condition and clean. The location is good for visiting Portland, about 10 minutes to downtown. We paid an average of $37.88 per night for 12 nights with Good Sam discount.

You are unable to hear yourself talk due to the overhead jet traffic. They don't allow bike riding, skateboarding or anything that would want you to bring your grandchildren or children. The have rock gardens with plants which get in the way of working around your RV. They are basically a 55 and older RV park. On the bright side they do offer a good array of TV channels and clean bathrooms.
OK, so I read some negative reviews about this park prior to staying here. I only had three contacts with the staff and they were all exceptional. Very friendly. Very helpful. The park is really quite nice. Exceptional hook-ups, very clean and organized. It would be an excellent place to stay and visit Portland, etc. The pet area was conveniently located for our space and was fairly clean. We will be staying here in the future while passing through Portland.
These are the most rude people I've ever encountered. I hope Good Sam removes hem from their list, as to not subject others to this terrible park
Nice park however it is noisy due to proximity to the airport and heavily traveled Marine Drive that it backs up to. Concrete level sites, of varying sizes for most RVs. Laundry facilities are nice and designated pet machines as well. Staff is pleasant. They are very busy so advance planning is a must during the spring and summer time. There is no gate security but there are cameras through the park, that said Portland rampant with bicycle theft - make sure yours are locked up. There are no... Read More

There are no facilities(ie play area or pool) for kids but Delta Park is near by that has abundance of room for exercising. There is a fenced area for pets at both ends of the park.

Sites are all cemented and very nice. Spacing between units is adequate and park is mostly made up of seasonal units and is difficult to get into. Made reservations at park 2 months ahead of time so we didn't have an issue getting in, but we'd like to have extended our stay but could not. If you're a light sleeper this may not be the park for you. The airport is about a mile away as the crow flies so the jet noise can get loud at times. Traffic in the area is very heaving during morning and evening... Read More

If you're a light sleeper this may not be the park for you. The airport is about a mile away as the crow flies so the jet noise can get loud at times. Traffic in the area is very heaving during morning and evening rush hours. Best avoid those times when coming or going from area. I would stay there again. Wife used showers and thought they were nice.
