arrived at the Campground check in went fine, they assigned a spot to park the Trailer ( I had given the rig size and number of slide-outs prior), pulled into the 30 amp site and trailer was at the end of the pull thru and the truck was at the other end, no room to disconnect and repark without the truck being in the road. Office staff moved me to a longer pull thru but it was a 50amp site and they charged me an additional $38 ( I didn't feel it was my issue, they assign the site), asked about... Read More

Went to check out the new (listed on web site) shower house, they were not working. Firepit had 6" of water in it, no picnic table (a premium 50amp site), looked like they had several big projects started and none finished, Dog park was almost done, shower house almost done, looked like the removal of old Mobil homes almost done, leveling out the sites near the new shower house almost done, the camp store had very few things on the shelves, nothing like the photo in the website. I would not rate them very high at this time. Pros: very close to the Badlands National Park, very quite park,

This place is under new management, so some growing pains are understandable. HOWEVER, there are numerous serious flaws that made me sorry I didn't go to the KOA down the road. First, the couldn't figure out how to apply my GS discount so I was told "it's only a few dollars". True, but its my dollars they're so dismissive about. Second, the dump station pipe is in a depression with a sealed plug - meaning you have to reach into someones sewage to unscrew the plug. Normally there is a heavy... Read More

Normally there is a heavy brass cap that you can raise with your foot, but they opted to save a few dollars at the customers expense. Third, was the trash... abandoned mobile homes surrounded by piles of junk. Broken plastic chairs scattered amongst unused campsites. Yes the views are nice, but it felt like camping in a dump.

This campground has beautiful views of Badlands, staff was very friendly, offered morning breakfast. Large sites and lots of space. It can be a bit windy but that can be expected for a plain. Get up early in the morning to enjoy the views of Badlands as the lighting is spectacular!

Had 4 washing machines, but only 2 dryers ??? What are you supposed to do when you have 3 or 4 loads or someone else is using the dryers??? There are lots of flies here and the screen on the laundry room needs to be fixed. Bathrooms are old and run down and not very clean. Plus the owner is not going to win and congeniality awards. WiFi is very good. Utility hookups worked fine. I am sure there are campgrounds in Wall SD that are much nicer.

Location was incredible, terrific views and access to the Badlands. Stayed 2 nights also ventured in to Hill City, although a long drive. Park is adequate, cheap breakfast, laundry small but working. Pool was closed. Hotel adjacent for our additional guests, didn't see the rooms. Incredible location, I would stay there again. Limited cell service, no wifi or TV.
