We arrived about 11:15 in the morning and we were charged a $10 early check-in fee as check in is at 1 p.m.! I paid an additional $4 for my brother to visit for a few hours. Check in staff were pleasant and apologetic about early in fee. Bathrooms good. Sites and drive lanes were tight and turns sharp. Dump station difficult to get to. I wish I had read previous reviews. We usually enjoy KOA very much and have annual membership. Will definitely be more aware if we stay in any in the future. WE... Read More

Made a reservation to stay here on the way home from Florida based on it coming up as big rig friendly on the Good Sam filtered search. When I made the reservation I requested and received one of their so called big rig pull through sites. The campground website says these go fast as they are the longest and widest of all. I have a 44 foot Class A towing a Ford F-150 so 63 feet total length and three slide outs. All of this disclosed when I made the reservation. Check in I was assigned site 50... Read More

Check in I was assigned site 50 which is as advertised on the campground website a large, wide, pull through site. Escorted to the site and quite an experience that was. Very narrow roads and tight turns. Saw nothing even close to level as I drove through to this site. Very hilly roads and low hanging tree branches.
The site was plenty long enough but completely unacceptable. Just barely made the turn into the site without disconnecting my toad or hitting it on a retaining wall at the site. The site was only partially level on the top with a steep upgrade and downgrade on each side of the top part of the site. There was no possibility of getting my coach level on the top pad area and there was no room to put out my slide on the drivers side due to the utility hook ups and a retaining wall. The pad was wide enough if I didn't have to try to turn in off a narrow road so I could not reposition the coach without disconnecting my toad and much maneuvering.
They did offer to try and find another site but, I mentioned that there wasn't one site we drove by that I could possibly level my coach or even be able to maneuver to due to narrow roads, trees too close to roads, narrow and tight turns required to get around the campground, low hanging tree branches.
I believe the host saw my point and immediately refunded my money and I left. Can't speak about restrooms as I never saw them.
I can't say what it would be like if you had a smaller unit for maneuvering or leveling. Definitely would not try with a big rig.
Once again I see that the Good Sam rating means absolutely nothing. Thank goodness for true reviews from fellow RV'ers. I should have known better than to pick this as the only review was from three years ago.

Lovely owners and staff. The owner personally lead us to our spot when we arrived. Nicely maintained campground, clean restrooms, WiFi works, and nice pool and play areas. Definitely cute little spot before tomorrow's whitewater expedition. Nice work folks - we'll be back!
